Trouble picking a class

I've having a hard time picking a class to main for raiding and pvp. I've enjoyed most classes for a long time but I am an altoholic so I tend to toon hop a lot. I mostly enjoy the melee plate classes for the look of the armor as well as the game play. However I despise being melee in raids (unless tanking). I like playing lock/hunter as well but I would like to just settle down and learn the ins and outs of one class. Any suggestions from other altoholics or just any one?? Help
