    Bootup Issue

So when I start up my computer, I get a screen up with a load of information about my USB devices, my storage devices etc, and one one of the lines it says the following:
    SATA6: WDC WD10EZEX-08M2NAO 01.01A01
Ultra DMA Mode-5, S.M.A.R.T. Capable but Command Failed

Is this the reason for my computer not starting up?

SATA6: WDC WD10EZEX-08M2NAO 01.01A01 is your hard drive (Western Digital Blue).

The next line means your motherboard cannot communicate with your hard drive other than to identify it.

I'm guessing this means you have a failed hard drive.

You can try reseating all the cables (unplug, then plug back in), that may help, it may not.

Otherwise you need a new hard drive.
