I didn't play MoP til after a few months, I got level 90 after a month. But I don't remember ToT being this easy, and SoO was absolutely not this easy.

Nope. LFR is full on tourist mode these days.
So what? Whats the point of this thread? LFR in WoD is supposed to be easy so everyone is able to experience the content - nothing more.
MoP lfr was harder as some instance mechanic still existed (albeit watered down) but the dorum maze, elegon floor boss, garrosh MC's and iron stars, sha of pride, thok and so on all could disband groupsfast
Word lfr is just tank and spank basically even wing 2 final boss you can ignore the falling blobs let multiple hit the ground together unsoaked and be fine
Didn't use to mind lfr on crappy alts in mop as the challenge was at times still thee but this is gloried training dummies
I'm not complaining. Next patch, blizz should just have Blackrock Foundry bosses mail loot to us instead.
There were a few bumpy bosses in MSV (eg Garalon), ToT (eg Horridon early on) and SoO (I forget, maybe Klaxxi?). But there's not a huge difference really.
The only standout really was Lei Shen which I think was deliberately set at a much higher complexity than LFR bosses usually are.
Overall LFR was easy in MoP. It's a bit easier still in WoD, but that's probably because they deliberately removed a lot of the grind from LFR - you clear the raid faster, get the gear quickly and this encourages you to move on to NM, which is a lot more reachable with the new group finder. I think that's a good thing. LFR should be a cruise for when you have no time, if you want a challenge then you'll need to invest slightly more time (or sometimes actually less depending on queues) and do NM/HM (ie flexi).
It's always been easy, but it does seem a bit more so this expansion. I remember when LFR first came out, you could frequently wipe on bosses in Dragon Soul if enough people didn't know what they were doing (bad tanks on gunship, etc).
The worst thing about older LFR was the loot system, where assholes could need roll on stuff they really didn't need and say "Nah...you only show at #2 on my Recount, so you don't deserve this. I think I'm just going to vendor it."
I'd spend more time on some of those aforementioned LFR bosses than I did in normal trade chat pugs
Keep in mind this is only the first raid of the first tier. I seem to remember MSV being completely faceroll. The only 2 bosses in there that ever gave groups trouble in my experience were elegon and will of the emperor.
Not trying to really defend LFR so much as say that LFR has ALWAYS been easy. People just seem to be freaking out because the intro raid is getting totally destroyed right now lol.
this is how lfr should been all along, not to mention the gear is horrible and mostly just for alts
no more 1hour+ lfr full of wipes because half group is bots, afk or people who dont know strategy

Cheerful lack of self-preservation
Combination of him being overtuned at first (quickly patched) and a lot of people being retarded in LFR.
Same with Durumu. Right to the end of MoP LFR groups would lose 60% plus of the raid in the maze. It was so goddamn easy! The maze didn't even kill you the lazer did lol...
WoD lfr seems easier, but im not sure about normal mode. Is normal still hard enough that a group of uncoordinated bad players wont clear it in a day? If so, job accomplished.

To be fair, a lot of people play with potato computers. The maze is nye on impossible to even see at low graphics settings.
LFR difficulty from MOP is closer to Normal difficulty in WOD. LFR difficulty in WoD is easier than anything in recent memory, but that's now it's supposed to be.
During MoP it was considered faceroll, until people saw what faceroll really is (WoD LFR).
What people fail to realise is it's 25 random players of different skill levels gear levels and (in the case of the EU LFR) language barriers. On paper the fights were easy, but in practice they required a number of people to step up and carry the bad.
So WoD LFR is a welcome change, nobody wants to waste 2 hours in a raid wiping to the same thing over and over, for a chance to receive the shittest gear.
