Does anyone have a FV duration icon and tracker for weak auras 2? There is a real lack of WA2 strings in the ret pally community. There are a ton for prot, would like to see some good ret WA's.

Pretty sure it's "Screenshot" in this case.

Ordinarily I'd take "SS" to mean Sacred Shield, but (a) we basically don't use that as ret and (b) it's clearly wrong in this case

I would love to see more WA strings. I am looking for a setup where the key abilitys like CS, FV, EXO etc are arranged around the center and pop up or something like that when they are off cd.

This is latest weak aura string I'm working on now, currently not quite finished, need to work out where I'm going to put my defensives/hand spells. Just using some throw away auras for the time being so not show in clip -

Video of string in action - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvA2yShnQlU

Is that holy power circle thing part of the weak auras too?(I'm at work and can't check).

    This set up is awesome!

  12. #12
It is, and I can't take credit for the holy power string, the other strings are mine, but I lifted the holy power string off a blog somewhere, forget where.

I actually got the same one from Slootbag's website the other day. http://slootbag.com/weak-auras/ paladin->holy power.

Nice look, although a pet peeve of mine is to be able to see the global cd. Is it possible to add that to the rotation string?

  15. #15
It is, you can set an additional icon to each one and use a GCD reference point of Emancipate since all it tracks is GCD.

I linked this in the prot discussion thread cos that's where we were initially talking about it, but it's probably actually more relevant to a ret weakaura string:

This weak aura tracks your most recent judgment target (for the dps boost from double jeopardy glyph).

    It's got 3x auras in a group.

The first checks the combatlog for the player casting judgment & grabs the GUID of the target it's cast on (so it *will* work with focus targets, targetlasttarget, et cetera). It's working from Judgment's spell ID so this one should work in non-english clients.

The second puts up a green tick if you have a target, you have the glyph of double jeopardy buff up, and your target's GUID does not match the GUID saved by the grabber aura. This one checks for the double jeopardy glyph by its english name, so it probably won't work in non-english clients.

The third is a red cross if you have a target + glyph of double jeopardy buff, but your target's GUID matches the grabbed GUID. Probably english only again.

    Worth noting:
    - I haven't written a function in any programming language in 15 years. It seems to work, but all of it is custom LUA that's created by me & I'm not a coder.
    - It might not be the most efficient (to allow for stuff like focus targets I had to get it to check all combatlog events) and it might blow up if something weird happens (I don't think it will... but hey, what do I know?)
    - It's not very pretty. Change the icons & move them around to suit your own UI - that's pretty straightforward stuff & a quick google search will get you how-to tutorials if you don't know already.

Question: I am using this string, and currently it does not show a cool down for when I use Exo. If I use CS/Judgement, it starts the timer. Exo does not do this, any reason?

You may not have noticed but the original post was some time ago and was made for MoP; I imagine it will not now be valid (some things have changed quite a bit).

Ah nope, did not notice that, thanks! However, everything seems to be working fine except Exo.
