None are optional, but there isn't a set order you have to progress through them. You can pick which wing you want to kill first; all the wing end-bosses have to be dead to get to Blackhand, but the order you do the wings (or do the 1st or first 2 bosses on a wing, then go to another wing) is up to your raid.
Gliffs post is accurate, you can choose between Ore and Gruul before Blast Furnace.
Odds are, the end wing bosses will be a significant step up. I'm also thinking that the Train boss will be easier than Beastlord, but there's nothing you can do about that.
Blizzard said there wouldn't be a boss as easy as Kargath in BRF, but Oregorger really doesn't have much going on, might start with that.

"The intended tuning target here is in the ballpark of Highmaul bosses like Butcher or Twin Ogron on Normal difficulty."
My guess is doing the four entry bosses first if what Watcher says is true and they tune it right.
Did 1-2 pulls on the four available bosses on ptr. Gear is scaled down to 650. We only had two healers for ~14 people so I think it was harder than it should've been. We had limited time so after we saw the mechanics of one boss we went to the next.
I felt Hans'gar and Franzok was by far the easiest boss. Would've one shot it but we wiped intentionally to practice mechanics.
Beastlord Darmac was very simple. Just a bit long. Seemed easier than Oregorger and Gruul.
Gruul seemed like a patchwerk gear check kind of boss. A little bit more involved than Butcher but not much, just a lot of damage from inferno slash.
Oregorger is a bit messy in the second phase and does a lot of damage in the first phase.
Put up some fraps.
