Would be nice to have a very dark expansion full of bad and mean and ugly...Somehow it is disheartening to kill walking flowers, fish cute fish, drink virtual beers with nat paggle, chase cows...eeeer taurens, etc.

That was Cataclysm, and the theme got really old, really fast. Old Gods might be powerful and evil, but they become boring after a while. Since WoW is no horror game, Lovecraft mythos are just a skin for an otherwise high fantasy world.

Besides, Warcraft is all about walking flowers, cute fish, virtual beer, Mr. Pagle and pacifist cows.

This is what came to mind when you said Darkness Falls. Plz. Plz. Darkness Falls was the best patch ever, such a good patch that Mythic Entertainment later repackaged the patch as a ****ing expansion pack (Darkness Rising, which retextured and revamped some of the encounters like the end boss but otherwise kept the spirit of the patch intact).

Content for everyone! Leveling content, group content, raid content, PvP content... best patch in a game ever in my opinion, no exceptions.

I wonder how many old geezers who played DAOC are playing wow nowadays... I remember going there with a lvl 24 to kill some rats and getting OS by stealthers...
