Would they ever add a new pokemon into a generation months later? We've pretty much got all of the Generations cards on the table thanks to hackers/dataminers/whatever they are called; and no sign of anything remotely like the sketched pokemon.

Sounds like a good reason for them to release new Pokemon in a different way - so hackers can't spoil them. maybe they found a way to do it?

But I strongly agree with you that it could be a baby/new thing from 7. That's a common trend from them.

I just noticed something. Manaphy hatched from the egg in it's movie instead of a Phione.

Manaphy hatches from an egg in the games, too. I never saw the movie though so I dunno if it's the proper manaphy egg. :P

Its weird. The sillouhet mon feels like such an anomaly. Every pokemon so far has been so fluidly designed in their bodies, but this guy just looms like he has too much going on. Like, as if they are approaching digimon fusion ultimate final evolutions (see imperialdramon fighter mode, omnimon, etc.).

Well ORAS was announced out of the blue last May so they could just put up an announce video on Youtube when they're ready.

Would they even announce a new generation this soon? I don't think the current anime set is even close to being finished.

It was the same egg you get from pokemon ranger, which is the only way to get Manaphy. Phione doesn't evolve.

Sounds about right to me then. I remember getting that egg and then immediately stowing Pokemon ranger and I've never touched that game again. My favorite part about it was the sounds you made when you walked. :T
