You first link doesn't work. As for the chipset there might be nothing changed since then but its 7years old, can't expect to be supported forever.

Intel is not one to constantly update drivers for outdated hardware. What's the reason to update them? You experiencing problems?

Would you really trust a website like that? Shows you Grandpa and Grandma happily using a computer. As we all know, old people are confused when using a PC.
According to Intels site the latest drivers for G41 is dated 11/16/2012. That's Intel giving you a clue to upgrade.
