I see it as adult entertainment. Isn't that what its called anyway? Put it this way - someone into romance can watch The Notebook and it will make them cry and feel emotional. Would handing someone money and asking them to make you cry be the same thing as a romantic movie? No. Yes, its 'the same' in the same way the death penalty is essentially murder. I think you're just being pedantic if you pretend they aren't there.

Another example would be watching Chef Ramsay prepare and eat an excellent meal, then going to a his restaurant and having the actual meal cooked by him. Is it the same thing? No, its obviously different.

I have no inherent disrespect towards Porn Stars. They have lives like everyone else, they just have an interesting job. I have no inherent disrespect for prostitutes, although the fact that they are willingly breaking the law in my country means I would rather stay away from them.

I guess it depends. Legit porn tends to involve a lot of production and isn't something you'd normally classify as prostitution.

  4. #44
Kinda. The only difference is that they have somewhat the power to choice which one they fuck with. Real prostitutes don't have that choice.

I read somewhere that sometimes she does it with her fans for free (the ones that impress her), lol.

    The difference lies in standards.

Whores have no standards and fuck any random cock, risking all kind of STD just to enjoy plumbing work between their legs. They put their selfish primitive desires over everything else.

Porn Stars have standards and fuck proper clean cocks, they do not risk any kind of STD and they treat it like a proffesional job. They do not get desperate and dont drop whatever they are doing now as soon as they get the call to get on set.

By that definition every person in the world who have had sex is a prostitute. Every person who has sex get something out of it. Not counting those who would have sex with someone for no reason, and gets nothing out of it, not even sexual enjoyment. But those can't be plenty.

By investing something into a relationship you're paying for sex. Money, cars, favors, they all come from the one and only resource we have; time. In the end it doesn't matter if you exchange that time to another currency (something of value you can trade), it all comes from that one resource. By flirting you're investing time. If you instead had worked that hour or whatever and payed the person for sex, your investment would still have been of equal value.

Are pornstars prostitutes? If they only do work with others who are active in the business, no, I don't think so. It's like saying baseball and cricket are the same sport just because they're so similar to someone who doesn't know either sport. If they do stuff with fans on and/or off the camera or whatever, there's at least a case to be made.

One can be a pornstar and a prostitute. They're not mutually exclusive. I believe the question was if a pornstar by default is one.

That reminded me of women who would take pictures of their butts and tits with balloon lips to get attention and earn money through that. It made me wonder, do the pornstars do it for the money, because they have no profession or do they have a whore spirit already in them? Like the women who would have sex with every men they see. Same goes for men. They have sex with every women they see. Those aren't gigolos, they're whore men. It disgusts me. A life with no love, no passion. Only money with no disgrace.

I just see that way. What do you think?

Edit: Whore spirit do exist. Look at the Instagram girls and boys. You'll see what I mean.
Sounds like you didn't watch professional pornography at all. Unless you took the usually really poor acting seriously.
    Pornography is a profession.

    Dont be jealous.

Porn is not a fucking artistic expression. They just fuck on camera and decieve themselves by saying this is art. They're bunch of Andy Warhols and nude painters.

I thought the same, people who have sex with the director/producer to be in the movie. That's what I was saying tho. Those people who would wanna be in movies do it for the money. Pornstars who get turned on with every dick don't do it just for the money, no way. Some people who watch porn want to be pornstars, so they can get a lot of pussy. The same logic.
You labor under the misconception that recording pornography turns pornstars on.

People who fuck people over a night are sexually attracted to them. Some call each other after the sex, some don't. People who don't call are the whores, who call are not whores. It's that simple. Poking should be about making love tho, mutually. Otherwise, it's soulless sex. When does soulless sex happen? In prostitution, in porn and in those "One night poking" thingy.

I'd want to see safe prostitudes too. If it would happen like that, then it would be a job, not just whoring. However, it will never be like that in the world where men call their wives in bed as "my whore". People like it that way.
    Yeah you're very judgemental.
Like holy shit you've got a grudge or something. Maybe you shouldn't watch porn if it upsets you this much and makes you feel this insecure.

What a terribly sad view of relationships. Mature people enter into relationships for companionship, not for sex. Sex is something shared together, not as reward or payment but as an expression of love. There are should be no expectations of "payment" for say, doing the dishes or taking out the garbage.

Prostitutes have sex for money with the general public.

Pornstars have sex for money with other pornstars.

Its a job end of the day. In the gay porn industry, men really just come off as them doing an act, it is acting at the end of the day like any movie star would act a role, its why porn stars make up names for themselves, to get into that role. Likewise men in it work out and stay in shape because of needing to stand out in an industry that pays on whats sold, and if you give a performance that sells, you earn.

Theres also the fact of in the gay porn industry, there are dozens of actors who are either bi-curious or straight with only the slightest waver towards gay, who don't want to be in gay porn movies, but do so because the gay porn industry actually pays its actors far better then straight porn does for men. This tells you just how much men sell themselves into a industry just to make some money, even doing something they don't want to do.

    Its the ultimate hypocrisy

Prostitutes sell their body for cash but its ok for porn stars to do it cause there happens to be a camera in the room!

I think it's obviously different for guys and girls here, but with the girls yes. With the guy's, technically yes, but there is some sort of prestige in the fact that you're getting paid to bang chicks that are usually attractive. Of course there are some guy's that have to do stuff they aren't into (like heterosexual guys that bang other men, or banging a gross chick), at which point I think you could say yes, those guys are prostitutes as well.

I think you misunderstood me. It's not my view on relationships I'm sharing, I was saying that Fencers' definition was wrong. The subject wasn't whether or not sex was a reward, payment or the end goal, but whether or not it was being paid for, which by Fencers' definition it was.

Prestige? The reward for doing the deed is irrelevant, either you're a prostitute or you're not. Liking the idea of being a known prostitute and working towards that goal as one doesn't make you a non-prostitute.

Also, doing a normal job you tend to have days where you have to do things you don't like doing, it's not an argument for prostitution (even in the porn industry).

  16. #56
Technically yeah, however there are some obvious differences between a prostitute and a pornstar.

  17. #57
Both male and female porn "actors" are prostitutes yeah.

    I'd say they are.

No a prostitute doesn't act when having sex whereas a porn star acts out a script. They are adult entertainers. The only similarity is they both get paid for having sex, but they aren't the same thing. It's like an amateur versus a professional or jv versus varsity. Just think about it. Would rather get fucked by Lexi Belle who's probably ridden more dicks than John Wayne rode horses, or your random corner whore, that's more likely to have stds, not be as good looking, and the sex probably isn't as good?

That's a difference without a distinction as far as I'm concerned.
