Isn't that just basic politics? giving the image of a family man gets you votes because you're more "relatable".

This is exactly why some of us want there to be a test in order to get a voting license.

"This guy has a family, I too have a family...I'll vote for him."

The fuck does that have to do with running a country?! It's nothing more than a reality show where stuck up, air headed celebrities fight for your ratings. It's quite disgusting, and this year's election has me feeling embarrassed to be a citizen on the United States.

Eh, I don't think it should be either way. When it goes this far, we will probably both already know whether we want marriage or not and have discussed it. There will be no call for proposition.

That said, my example might be unique, but recently I got the impression that it is women who tend to propose more often - at least when it comes to dates, not to marriage. However, those proposing to me tend to be real weirdos for some reason... The irony: those I am interested in are either not interested in turn or not available, and those interested in me are not to my taste. I guess weirdos attract weirdos. And when you are interested in non-weirdos, while being a weirdo... You are boned!

Most people in general choose to be married. Whether the percentage of those among successful people who choose to be married is larger than that among unsuccessful people is an open question, and the answer really depends on how you define "successful".
