Okay so what? Yeah, okay suppressing democratic movements sucks....but the shit they've done? Not a fucking excuse.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.
Just, be kind.
Neither of the individuals is making excuses for ISIS, they are explaining how and why they rose to power.
Personally I'm all for drowning the leaders of ISIS in a vat of pigs blood and the leaders of the US military -industrial complex in barrels of oil next to each other.
Am I the only one who finds it ironic that their movement is called ISIS (Isis is a Egyptian goddess), and yet they believe that women should have very few rights?
The only reason ISIS rose to power was because of the power vacuum created by the Obama administration.
Americans and their 15minute memory span. This situation is not new to ISIS. Since the 40s this shit has been going on.

There are hundreds of reasons why ISIS particularly is the way it is but the fact is that they rose from a power vacuum as most similar organizations do. That power vacuum in Syria was caused largely by U.S. supported destabilization of the Assad government and in Iraq it was created by the withdrawal of American forces.

Borderline apologetic. Simplistic narritive. Worth a listen like a Mick Jagger solo album.
