Soooo i just bought CoD WW2.... just to see how dead it is

This isn't suppost to be "This game is dead" Topics all though it sorta is.

So yesterday i bought CoD WW2 because i was really missing FPS games. I used to like CoD 2 sniper map Search & Destroy. Or my old classic fan Wolfenstein Enemy Territory.

So i bought the latest CoD (i think atleast it is) just because it is WW2 related and i love that.
But the game feels more dead then 10 year old games.

If i try to queue for Search & Destroy i can wait forever.
If i try other game modes it is basically the same.

All that is still alive it feels is Free for All and deathmatch.

Wtf happened? It feels like i just waited 40 euro's for a dead game?

Is there any other FPS game that is still WW2 related and active?

Is it much better then BF1? I like CoD due the fact it has better shooting system. Aka the view, snipers being actually 1 shots. etc

I have no idea, I haven't played shooters for nearly two decades.

I mean... Bo4 is out. Thats kind of on you. CoD never had a good retention rate once a new game came out...

Which is not to say that Bo4 somehow isn't a boring slog that pampers to trends and has not a single innovation in its husk of a body (like Fortnite or any other shooter these days), but... you know... still.

It's a fun game and it has potential for sure. The gun-play and and many of the core mechanics are way better than in BF1. Sadly, BF5 was released way too early and there are quite a few annoying and in some cases game-breaking bugs.

In a few patches it might be the best BF in years though. If you can live with the bugs then it's a game worth trying or you might just want to wait for a while and hope that they fix the bugs.

True, i just kinda hoped to relive the old FPS days. I used to play CoD 2 for years even though it was old even back then by MW1-2 already being out but that didn't matter because CoD 2 was still sooo alive.

But CoD WW2 just feels plane dead. and it feels like i just wasted money on nothing.

But yeah... i guess FPS isn't what it used to be anymore. I am no fan of the battle royal.

Downloading BF5 as we speak. i hope it is an improvement over BF1.
BF1 snipers kinda turned me off, soo weak it felt like. But then again, CoD and BF weapon difference is big.

Yep that's your problem then, CoD and BF actually do much worse on PC then Console.

I feel like FPS games are soo out of touch.

I wish there was a game like Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. If only i could make my own games, i would make soo many oldskool styled FPS games but with todays standards ;x

Snipers were actually strong in BF1. Very strong. But you're right, they games are not the same and it takes a while to get used to one if you played the other for a bit of time.
