Trinkets for fire in pre patch

So I have Mythic ToSW, but what do I use with it?

Mwf PoF
M PoF + Socket
6/6 Sandman's
Hcwf (725) Chipped Soul prism

Would I swap trinkets depending on fights (if so which?) or is there a clear winner for every scenario?

I don't really know what sort of players you are, but that seems a very general statement. Looking at the best mage parses on WCL, it seems to be Sandmans for single(ish) target fights. I don't doubt that it is probably a good all rounder, but it seems also some of the highest aoe parses are using POF.

Obviously a rng pof log should beat a sandmans log, and that's really what I'm interested in, the absolute maximums.

With that said, between MWF Pof and M PoF + Crit socket which would be better?

Has anyone experimented with using Knight's Badge (the old inscr tank trinket) and Sandman together?
I bought the base Knight's Badge just to test it and it seems both trinkets can proc at the same time, which would mean you have 6k+ crit proc from trinkets on pull.
The base stats on Knight's badge are actually pretty decent aswell. 506 versatility at max upgrade compared to the 385 intellect on Sandman.

Yeah, I'm using Smp for ST with PoF on AoE. SMP really doesn't come that close for aoe honestly unless I get 2-3 Pyromaniac procs during combust and that's only on fights with long periods of ST and then aoe. Definitely gonna be the MWF PoF over the crit socket since Int + heaver nova hits > a marginal crit increase, especially on aoe

Everyone is playing with TOSW, that's why I asked which OTHER trinket to use.

Alright I'm an idiot forget what I said x) Just to stay on topic then, I tried playing with bot PoF and Sandman, and though I have better openings with sandman, overall PoF does more damage (I also have it 746 so that helps)
