Do you drink Energy Drinks ?

Used to be the thing. Do not know if it still is.
Gamers playing endless hours of WOW and other games, sipping on Energy drinks to keep them alert.

But not just 1 energy drink, 2 or 3 or even 5.. Some people are addicted to them

But do people know the dangers.

I raise this issue after reading this sad but nice article, about a man who passed away of a ventricular brain haemorrhage
possibly bought on by his over consumption of energy drinks.

He did have High Blood Pressure, which I myself are taking medication for.

He was only 33 and died in a Californian hospital surrounded by friends and pet dog .
What I found really touching was that the hospital allowed his pet dog in to see him when he passed away.

I used to yes. Mostly NOS energy drinks. However I have bipolar disorder and figured out that that the energy drinks were effecting my mood swings pretty bad. Sometimes for like 2 weeks afterwards so I stopped drinking them.

Not that often. I have coffee in the morning to get me going. About the only times I'll drink energy drinks now is long road trips or Jagerbombs if it's that kind of night

I tried a sip of a monster once and it was pretty terrible so I haven't touched energy drinks since then. I'd rather just be tired.

I know this guy, the day before an expansion he'd buy a case of redbull, his goal was to get to max level before anyone else. He'd play 48 hours straight or whatever, sometimes just grinding.

I used to work at a dirtbike shop that had a Rockstar fridge, the owner said we could have as many as we wanted for free. I was maybe 13-14, I was drinking 4 a day.
When I stopped working there, I went through severe caffeine withdrawals and got very sick for a few weeks.
Started working retail in my late teens, started drinking them heavily again. Stopped again, got sick again.
Recently I kicked them more or less for good after about 6 months of 1 a day, now I have maybe 1 a month if I am really dragging ass at work.

That happens when you're dehydrated. Caffeine only works if you're hydrated.

My little brother drinks it all the time and have been since he was in the mid teens (currently 21 years old).

Personally, my energy drink is coke (Coca Cola) and those types of sodas only. If anything, I'm afraid of drinking energy drinks due to the health issues it might cause and most of all, it taste horribly and doesn't give any kind of energy boost for me.

I'm a party killer, if anything, unless the party consist of myself & a partner for the evening. Because nothing's better than great food, discussion(s) and, of course, wine.

Was drinking a couple each day for a long period of time, was craving it all the time since i was working out constantly and playing football.
I stopped and haven't been drinking it for a month now.
My body feels much better, no more headaches and feeling tired constantly..

Sometimes when I really need to stay up. I'd say one or two a month.

I drink an 8oz sugar free redbull in the mornings. I hate coffee, and I stopped drinking other sodas.

Sometimes ill have a second one if Im beat. I have a client facing job,and need to be alert and perky.so the caffine is nearly required to do my job as well as I do.

1-2 redbull a week. Usually during raid time as a treat (raiding 2 times a week).

Because I like the taste. Not for the "energy" factor. And that's the only sugar I drink in the week, no other soft drinks.

Fortunately, besides my morning redbull, I only drink water.

It was pretty easy to get put on legal speed so I've never seen the need.

    Also coffee is tasty.

I used to *live* on energy drinks when I worked graveyards. I didn't have them every night, probably 2 or 3 per week, they were the Starbucks ones. :x
