I read your whole post 'zeropeorth' and it still didn't explain how consoles are more convenient than PC. Even if people still buy prebuild systems, it is still better choice than overpriced game console which will be useless in next 10 years [probably much less] (since they have locked OS).

Anyway, did you guys ever heard about phonebloks? It could do a pretty amazing console with that kind of system, allowing users to be able to upgrade it depending on their preferences and shit without having to buy an entire new console every couple of years >.<

Playstation Release Dates:

PS1 - September 9, 1995
PS2 - October 26, 2000
PS3 - November 11, 2006
PS4 - November 15, 2013

I don't see a pattern which we can use to determine it. The only thing I can see is the time between releases has grown each generation. If that is the metric we can use to judge it, we might see a PS5 is 2020 or later.
