Yeah of course i would
Hell No i love animals too much
Not sure
Why not, if the salary is ok and working conditions are up to highest standards.
I would not have a problem with killing animals for food but working in a slaughter house is a dangerous and hard job. That is why i would not work in a slaughter house. I would rather keep all my fingers and not be sick all the time.
if i could work solo perhaps.. but i imagine those places are like factories with lots of people(distractions) around.
I had fun once, it was terrible.
Nope. Manual labor, not my thing. I am one of those self-important type of millenials who would rather do something they love for much less money than do something shitty for much more money.
Our species is omnivore, that means we eat meat as well. Meat has to preferably die before consumption. The scene at a slaughterhouse might be a bit, eh, disheartening for the faint at heart, but it is necessary and i have no moral objections to the basic principle of slaughtering animals for food. If i wasn't me, i could work at a slaughterhouse if the pay was worth the effort, but to me it isn't.
Some of you guys need to realize, that once you work in a slaughterhouse, the smell is unbearable.
And once you home and shower the stank off, guess what? You gonna sweat and you gonna smell exactly like you did before.
Other words, if you work there, you almost smell 24/7 like death
Not sure. I mean, if the money was good enough and I had a guarantee of falling back to my current job, I think i'd give it a shot. Maybe start out over the weekend...
I might get Silence of the Lambs and Saurfang flashbacks.
I made the point that immigrants do this dirty work that most westerners would never touch. And almost universally the ones who bitch about immigrants depend on them to do the dirty work they won't do.
Not sure where you get lions from that but your response was pretty retarded.
I think it's a bait, if not then I think that somone just made his license.
Most of the people dont know how to operate, does that mean patients are hypocrites because they're going for the surgery.
He's probably trolling or just wasn't educated enough and have too narror-minded world view.
If you say so but I would never work in one of these places and I'm pretty sure everyone I know never would either no matter what the pay.

How is that even a valid comparison? I can't operate because I'm not trained too. Anybody can slaughter there own food or work in a slaughterhouse but most choose not to.

You have a strange agenda with this post in the way you've worded the answers in your poll. It looks like bait/trolling.
Probably running on a Pentium 4
killed and helped butcher animals on a farm as a kid, which was ok. But i imagine the industrial scale of a slaughterhouse would give me some pause for a bit.
Not 100% keen on the smell, but I don't mind killing animals.
I like eating meat, it tastes good. I think that if I want to eat an animal, I have to be willing to kill it, anything else would be hypocrisy.
And no, I'm not saying that people should only eat what they've killed, just that they need to be aware of it. That delicious steak was once a cute little calf with big eyes and clumsy long legs. Not acknowledging that is...I don't know, silly?
It wouldn't make my passion list for a job but if it paid well enough to feed the family and my options were limited I would. But that's about the only circumstances unless we are talking millions a year. Because then I could really make my families lives great.
I'm an animal lover but I'm not blind to the fact that some animals were born to be eaten. I am aware of the reality that pigs, cows, chickens, etc. get chopped up into bits and get sold in grocery stores. However to actually do the deed of killing so many animals for a living I just couldn't do it. I love my meat though (get that dirty thought out of your mind) so I'm glad there's other people that can handle it so I could continue having my hamburgers and steak.
So I give my thanks to slaughterhouse workers. You da real MVP.
