Maybe the reason it's holding from PTR is that it's a lot meatier than were expecting. Since 7.3.2 is release candidate and shipped out so PTR is pretty much just chillin right now.

Now THIS is a conversation that won't give me a headache from people having their head in the sand at the mention of High Elves.



Willing to bet 7.3.5 is the final patch we get for Legion. Willing to bet it contains the early parts of the 8.0 pre-event. Including probably a lot of stuff expanding on The Wound.

Also willing to bet it hits the PTR in the weeks immediately after Blizzcon.

x.x.5 patches are evergreen content, don't think either 7.1.5 or 7.2.5 had quest content. So 7.4 would be the story patch.

I had a thought.

What if sub-races don't exist at all, and they just add some copy+paste races with a new coat of paint to provide more customization without marginalizing certain groups. (Nightborne, Void Elves) What if they aren't in some silly drop-down menu, but they are their own race entirely, simply sharing a base model (or skeleton) with other races?

At the moment that's what the situation looks like to me, I have yet to see anything suggesting subraces other than people's associations.

So I know we are speculating on a lot of the Expansion stuff but do we even know what might happen with Silithus yet? That might give us a nice lead into where we could be headed afterwards. Has anything new been datamined for that area?

I agree. If it was High Elves, then people would be believing it straight away and I think the entirity of the the Argent Dawn EU forums would have exploded.

I'd have exploded with accusations of Horde Favoritism.

The old argument that usually disarms High Elf threads immedaitely. "So Horde gets a new race while we get Blood Elves with blue eyes?"

But not calling it High Elves, assuming these aren't just some failed or in-progress experiment, also implies some great difference. Greater than just a worgen form they can toggle on and off.

It's not High Elves, no matter how much people want to find ways to twist it into being them.

WORLD OF WARBEARCRAFT: Bear is Love, Bear is Life



My inside source says the new 8.0 is all about the Wild Gods. URSOC and URSOL, mighty BARES will play a dominant role during the whole expansion.

Main narrative is about the bear races of Azeroth shaping their destiny and making a new home for themselves, as they bearly made it out of the Cataclysm. Using the raw force of nature and their bare hands, Grizzly, Polar, Panda, Pandaren and Kodiak bears will reclaim Azeroth for themselves and extinguish the lesser races.

- New race: Furbolg
- New class: Skinchanger (can only turn into a bear)
- New faction: Bear Consortium
- Homebase: Grizzly Hills
- Main Heroes: Zoibert the Wise Bear, Ursoc, Ursol
- Druid class revamp, all specs removed but Guardian
- All other classes temporarily removed from the game.
- Pandaren subraces: Grizzlaren, Polarbaren, Kodiakaren, Red-Pandaren and Blackaren amongst others.
- All other races can now be NPCs and interact with BARE FACTION players.

Very excited, I can bearly hold myself from peeing all over my cave.

If the Horde got Nightbourne while the Alliance got High Elves then I fail to see how people will be up in arms (this is as an Alliance player). The Horde get sort of Night Elves and the Alliance get sort of Blood Elves.

Cosmetic ability: you can turn yourself into a demonic spawn at any moment for 15 minutes max and then go back to sleep.
