Huge screw up for Trudeau to brag about how welcoming Canada is to refugees.
I'm sure Canadians will be horrified when they discover this thing that affects them in no measurable way.

Especially the Haitians refugees. Everyone know that salafists and catholicisms with some voodoo go hand in hand. In the voices talking in the head of Alex Jones

Don't be such a little scared American.

Bangladesh which received 300k+ becuase of Myamar attempted genocide on that population... And that country is no where near Canada level of wealth. So ~40k this year ain't a big deal to real Canadian.

Tsk tsk tsk. Bombardier got ~2b over the year from 2 level of govt where they bought "shares" of the corp, not give out loans.

While Boeing gets how much direct subsidies from the US govt under the form of contracts or military spending?

    Usual American whiners.

Boeing is worth more money than Canada

An extremely interesting insult, considering that the Canadian PIB is the 10th in the world, 1.8 trillion in 2016, not really comparable to Boeing,
whose capitalization is ''only'' 97 billions.

Random hint : guess what country is 48 ranks lower and whose PIB is more than ten times inferior to the canadian one ?

Bombardier is Canada now? Jesus, I knew Canada was in bed with corporations but not to these extent.

He said Boeing was bigger than Canada, it was tit for tat.

This is a pretty random conclusion based on what you quoted.

All of that will be American wealth once the god king trump orders the invasion of Canada, revenge for 1812.

Some countries specialize in being invaded and collapse quickly. Canada is really not one of those. (There is a really good reason why Americans name cruisers ''Ticonderoga'' and not ''Carillon'' : it's the same place, but one name is way more humilating than the other.

FTFY. There's a difference between countries and colonies.

It's odd, because even in 1700, people made clear difference between French and Canadiens, as well as between English and Colonials.

Every serious aerospace program in the world is heavy subsidized if not outright owned by at least one government.

Do you not listen while Boeing and Airbus go back and forth accusing each other of illegal subsidies?

It has nothing to do with commercial use...its all about military production capabilities and national security. Having standing domestic production of the most advanced and difficult to build products in the world is worth whole armies.

And the Canadian government is absolutely free to give money to Bombardier in the form of government contracts for military projects or related stuff. This is not one of those cases. Also, Boeing is smashing that case against Airbus.

It's fracking ridiculous to BOTH try to prevent Bombardier to compete in the US market, cry ''unfair'' when Bombardier win contracts in the markets US compete, and also cry when Bombardier win contracts in markets where the Americans are not even competing(Iran)
Bombardier doesnt sell military aircraft, so there is no way for them to even offer RCAF any. Besides, Bombardier historically needed Canadian support because no one else would buy their wares in sufficient quantities.

Canada has no viable military aircraft manufacturing, and hasnt for many decades. Even then, it was in country manufacturing of other countries' designs. Bombardier is about as viable in aviation as it was in locomotives......

Canada can do business with whom it wants on terms acceptable to them. They just have to realize though, the reverse is also true. Dont spite powerful interests under the assumption you'll suffer no consequences.

Well, let's be honest, Trump would fuck over royally if he tries to defend Boeing on this. It's literally the opposite of his own ideas and Boeing dug their own grave.

Maybe Canada should stop kissing China's butt as well then? Oh wait! They aren't! In fact, they're kissing so much butt their lips are turning a Communist red! Maybe they should just buy Chinese instead?
