leveling your weapon skill

You can no longer gain weapon or defense skill while fighting the following creatures:
Servant of Allistarj, Servant of Grol, Servant of Razelikh, and Servant of Sevine.

this change seemed to pass by a bit unnoticed. So they just decided it's unfair to be able to fight these mobs until forever.
A bit typical of the developers to waste time fixing what was fine before.

Anyone who thinks this is a good change? :-X

I'm not sure tbh, can a quester still destroy the crystal while someone was training weapon skills on the mob? Otherwise I don't think it was really worth changing

stupid change IMO. it is already a pain in the ass to max out more than 1 weapon type while leveling. Specifically speaking if I was leveling my warrior in WotLK and then decided to go arms at level cap after leveling dual-wield fury since level 20, it would be a ridiculous waste of time to not be able to afk auto attack those things to get 2h weapon skills up. I mean do they expect you to go back to way lower level zones so you can actually hit the things if your weapon skill is incredibly low, and then just work your way back up?

Depends.. will they fix Dr Boom too to stop us levelling ranged weapon skill?

get your weapons skilled up now while you still can lol. it needs to be something more like fishing or other professions where you level up quicker at the lower ranks. or perhaps an increased chance based on the ration of your level to your weapon skill.

Can't you do the same thing to the banished elemental corruptors in SMV?

I mean, sure, it's bad if anyone breaks a totem while you're doing it, but assuming you didn't completely walk away from the computer you can respond to that.

This is another option so this change won't really mean much unless they make it so immune mobs don't skill you up or something along those lines.

There is an easy way to improve your skill

if you go to the farm in AB, u can kill the rats there and they come back in just 2 sec!!
so defense Farm and gaining weapon skill :P

Pfff, there are still ways how to easily increase weapon skill, such as attacking those quest mobs near portal in Blasted Lands, they becomme immune at 1% and hit fo almost nothing.

anyway, they probably are outraged how people just go afk while auto attacking for weapon skills.
Can't figure why else they would take away our bridge over something already so annoying.
