Stuck at Retrieving character list!?

I log on to the normal Wow as of this latest patch and i am stuck at the Retrieving charcter list part of logging in. Please help, i CBF downloading wow again and my roommate is geting same crap on a different computer, on a different realm.

And even last night and night before i was constantly getting DC'd as was my roommate

Battle group Bloodlust is down - if that helps. all ocianic servers - Down for main - 1:45pm PDT - 2:45 PDT.
