Which profession to choose

Hi all

Atm I am Blacksmith 361 and ALchemie300.
But because i was leveling i abanded them a bit.
But now i dinged 80 I was wondering which of the two to dump and to pick the gathering profession which fits it.
I need to make money with it not so much for the gear.

If you advice two other profession, please do speak.

And I am Pally protection.

As I do not know if you plan on raiding..but if you are..I would suggest dumping alchemy for JC...the extra gem slots from bs are nice..coupled with JC profession bonus...would be very nice.

I dont have a flying mount, and the reason to level my profession is to make some money out of them, or at least save some instead of buying from AH.

In that case..I suggest you keep your current professions and do dailies and quests to make the money you need and just level your professions as you do your dailies and quests.

If it's money you want, get a gathering profession. Mining, herb, or skinning do good on my server, so there's not really a best.

Make an alt Deathknight and level it up, pick mining + skinning, and sell the produce.

Spec DPS on your main, go grind mobs.

Buy a flying mount asap.


Put JC + BS on your main when able to afford it.

Reduce your expenses and focus on dailies/heroics, try to find enchanter in your party that will not be lazy to disenchant blues/epics for party.
After you get 280% fly mount take herb or mining and 2nd proffesions either enchanting or jewelcrafting (enchnating is good if you are hybrid, you can need for "offspec" and get a lot of shards and abyss )
