How To: Retribution 5-Mans

I've never posted my guides on these forums before, so I hope it goes well. I did Holy a while ago and I finally have enough info to continue with the Ret guide. I had a good portion of this ready to go a while ago but had to wait till most of the 3.1 talents and spells were out. For the most part, they are. Any further changes made before Ulduar goes live will be updated and reflected in the post. That being said, if there's any facts, numbers or grammatical errors feel free to let me know. RL's been pretty hectic and I don't doubt I've made a few mistakes.

Also, because of so many changes to 3.1, I'm going to go back and revise the How To Spec sections for each tree. A lot of sites link theirs to those posts, so I gotta keep those up to date. That should keep my Saturday booked. =P

SoB/M judgement recoil is 33%, not 10%. the 10% recoil is from swing dmg.

I find it rather amusing that in TBC, a Ret could only really shine in a 25 man with a well constructed Melee Group (Fury Warr, Enh Shaman, Feral Drood), and yet now in WoTLK, most of our utility is eclipsed in 25 man because buffs don't stack. In a 5 man though, our utility approaches almost godlike proportions, especially now that Holy isn't able of taking BoK, and most of the 5-man mobs are immune to Mage/Rogue CC but not our Repentance.

Leveling up in 5-mans was a blissful experience to say the least.

Maybe. I definitely have sympathy for girls who play WoW. Hell I made a female orc warrior to level when i'm bored, the other day some friggin troll hunter was stalking me "helping" me kill everything I tagged.

Face the facts though there's no shame in using it to your advantage, what you do is.. before a raid you say "I hope [Item of Epicness] drops" then if it does any competition will suddenly be nice and give it up. in theory

Mediocre guide made for quite possibly the easiest class/spec to play in the game. I could write one up of about equal quality by only playing my friends ret paladin a couple of times and basic knowledge of the game, only I have better things to do.

So many positive responses because the author is a girl, shows how patheic the majority of the wow community is.

not to protect her. she can do that herself, but so far i havent seen you make a constructive post.

so either do something constructive, or gfto

2nd,

i think i can honestly say that your the first irl female, retribution paladin that ive heard off,
care to tell me what your ingame character's race and sex is, purely out of interest as most female players do tend to play female characters aswell and about 50% off the males play female characters aswell
(thus a higher % off characters on a single server is female)
