Hey I want to make a druid for my alt on a new server.
I was wondering what spec is better for leveling and what heirloom item I should aim for that spec,
Thanks.

you can't use heirloom items on new servers (except if you'd transfer)
But basicly feral is the leveling tree. Low down time cause of energie.
Shoulders give the +10% xp bonus

As far as heirloom weapons druids can only use staff dagger or 1h mace.
I would use the pve staff: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42947
Since its 2h it gives the most feral AP and the crit and stam are useful for feral. The int and spell power will help when you need to shift out and heal.
The Swift hand of Justice trinket wouldn't be a bad once you have shoulders and weapon.
I see that recommended a lot, but personally I'd rather use either the Balanced Heartseeker, or just buy BoE blues to use. If you actually compare the DPS of the staff vs the heartseeker (http://quickarmory.com/heirloom.php?iid=42947 vs http://quickarmory.com/heirloom.php?iid=42944), you'll find the dagger takes over from level 68 onwards, so the staff will only give you more FAP for 10 levels (58-67), and for the rest of the time the stats are mostly useless (stam is generally not that important for levelling, which means the only useful thing for ferals is the crit and there isn't much of it). Besides, post level 60, I usually find there are plenty of quest blue weaps to carry you through, and ones that are actually designed for feral will be a lot better than using a caster weap.Originally Posted by deneweth
Due to the above, I'd definitely be going for 2x Swift Hand of Justices before getting a weapon (although still get the shoulders first). The Swift hand of Justice trinket wouldn't be a bad once you have shoulders and weapon.
Remember that it won't give AP until 58-ish. The rest of the time, it's just useless (aside from crit and stam, which are helpful, but nowhere near a "real" weapon of the level). There are plenty of staves/maces/polearms from various instances that give stats (crowd pummeler is a good one off the top of my head), or you can even pick up an "of the tiger" or similar green.Originally Posted by deneweth
I twinked my druid out with the spell power heirlooms to level as boomkin.  Working really well, level 46 and things are generally dead well before they even get close to me. Standing i have 184 SP, but i have almost 230 in boomkin. Average Wrath crit is about 750ish plus moonfire dot ticks for about 150 (glyphed it):
Armory isnt showing level 46 till i log off :P but you get the gist.

There is a thin line between not knowing and not caring, and I like to think that I walk that line every day.
