Also seems to only affect characters, not NPC's and such, so it might possibly just be due to us (or atleast myself) not having been able to connect to the game, for the chars files to be properly set up or something, I dunno...

Nah man, theres been reported issues on the WMV Site, it cant have anything to do with connections because all the datas stored in the game files as MPQs, only live data ie instance saves and character details (like gold items etc) are effected by connection because that data is stored on their servers, if it were all stored online the game would rely entirely on your connection because it would have to transfer texture and model data in order to render, instead of simply finding the data on your hard drive.
