    [H] <Covenant of Crows>|Serious-Casual Guild, 2 Nights/Week

<Covenant of Crows> is an adult-only guild (ages 21+) on Whisperwind Horde.

We are currently open to recruiting raiders as well as social members interested in a comfortable, adult atmosphere. As we build up our raiding team, we are interested in recruiting 2-3 healers, 1 tank and 4-5 dps (we really need about 7-ish more people). We are especially interested in finding a Blood DK, Ret. pally, Boomkin and Elemental Shaman, though we have spots available for just about any class/spec.

Currently, we run one 10 man ICC group on Tuesday and Friday nights (from 7 pm - 10 pm Central/Server Time, although we sometimes go up to an hour later on Fridays) and regularly clear 7/12 (Festergut, Rotface, BP Council on farm). We operate with essentially no backups for this group (attendance is very good), so the opportunity to be at least rotated in on a regular basis exists for one or two people as we continue to grow.

We also have a semi-regular 10 man on Sunday nights that has open spots for any role running ToC10 and up.

If we had to attach a label to our group, we’d choose “serious casual.” We run a relaxed and fun raid, but it’s also serious enough to get things done. Respect for each other is one of the foundational ideals for our community and we certainly don’t get off on the pushy/mean-spirited/yell-at-people mentality you might find elsewhere. We want our raiders to keep coming back and look forward to our groups (and our unusually high attendance is probably the result of that philosophy!).

The core of our membership is older professionals, many in our mid-30s with kids, etc. That in mind, we are a rather intimate and familiar group, so a moderate amount of off-color language should be expected. Some of us have been playing together for 4 or 5 years now, having transferred over multiple servers. We offer a fantastic community of friendly, helpful people and the usual guild amenities in WoW, plus an online forum with people whose interests expand into other games, books, movies, creative endeavors, you name it.

Overall, we care much more about recruits being a good fit socially within the guild than about anything else. We have no place for drama. We definitely have a guild first, raid second mentality, and that’s precisely what makes us a good place to call home.

If any of the above sounds interesting to you, feel free to contact Morgraan/Aalistor or Zerr/Zyroth/Zerrie in-game or swing by our forums at http://www.covenantofcrows.com and introduce yourself (in my view, that’s all a guild application is–just a formula for an introduction so that we have a place to start talking).
