you need to convince him to stop facerolling and go learn what keys to press. Vigilance is not the answer, knowing how to play his class is the answer.
Well, I don't think that this is the case. He has been playing his warrior as prot from the very first day of WoW. And he has done all the Vanilla WoW's raids, so I dont think that is the case. I think it's the case of getting him a new weaponOriginally Posted by getefix

I seem to be (close to) pulling aggro a lot as well, particularly on Ignis. We usually run with a warrior or pally tank, and they're both good players so I don't think the whole "get a new tank"-suggestion is the answer. I usually wait with Berserk as well, but unless I'm lucky enough to get potted I really have to watch my aggro.
Thank God I'm not the only one who is having this problem ;DOriginally Posted by Bergenia

The MT in my guild is a paladin and with a MD from one of the rogues/hunters at the start we have no threat issues(on any boss), even if you get close to pulling agro it shouldn't be a problem.Originally Posted by Bergenia
kick your tank out of guild. And take the nosense skill COWER out of your bars. You shall never pass tank threat. Even if you start 2x shred crits to boss. Call your hunters to MD the boss to tank etc.But first idea is bestOriginally Posted by Sinma

The Kitty dps is still amazing, its only a slight reduction to get on par with other hybrids.
A lot of people have a misconception to the 'balancing' of feral dps. What is decreasing is the base amount of damage the move does. The moves still scale with gear by the same amount; and having seen what my dps has been like with the two piece set bonus to T8 and other ulduar gear zomg... I saw this coming.
In response to Simma, Feral threat is high (on par with warlocks and mages atm) but not to the point where a tank can't hold aggro. I'm not going to jump to any conclusions and state that the tank sucks but he does need to work on his threat production. If it's a gear thing then cool but i have my doubts.
FYI: I don't have Cower on my action bar
I still have some of my notes for that post (but i lost yours Sunshine -_- my shreds were out by too much numericaly, yours were much better). If you can wait till tomorrow i can post them for you, but yeah, as stated, if you know how to play Kitty well, you won't really see a great lose, between 2-4%. Bit more for those of us in Aus, NZ, ect were latency isn't as nice (300-530 = QQ haha) But being smart will negate most of the lose. We will still be competitiveOriginally Posted by Sunshine

Everyone will see the same small dip in dps regardless of what their latency is, since its only reducing the damage and not changing the rotation in any way.Originally Posted by Heywes

One of the large complaints about warrior tanks is their rage mechanics for tanking (I've seen it to some degree with tanking encounters): as your gear gets better and you don't get hit as often, you find yourself rage starved and you cannot generate threat well. It's easily seen in heroics, but it can happen in 25man Ulduar too. I've come very close to or have stolen aggro before on accident from bleeds while DPSing, and I've looked at our warrior tank's rage bar sitting at 2-3 rage for an extended period of time. Druids can run into this situation if you don't crit and dodge most of the incoming attacks. Paladins and DK's have no excuse =P
I also noticed you mentioned the Ignis encounter as a threat issue and I kinda laughed. I'm generally the one tanking Ignis on that fight, and I can feel his pain. You realize how often that stupid boss doesn't want to move or chain casts crap while you're trying to kite him into position for scorches? Our hunters and locks generally get dangerously close to stealing aggro because all I can do is spam faerie fire and swipe while the boss just stutters along out of normal melee range, all while I'm watching my rage bar drop to zero from lack of getting hit and resisting his fire attacks.
Then again, you might be right that his weapon is the problem (can't comment since we don't have an armory link). My weapon was the problem until I switched from Origin of Nightmares to a 232 weapon. Maybe your DPS is too good and needs to be nerfed! Kek, just kidding.

Our Ignis tank never moves, it's better for melee and the scorch damage is easily healed.Originally Posted by exochaft
I don't hate you. I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence.
When I tank, I stand with my back in the water. Before every other scorch, I turn about 120 degrees to point him away from the water, then turn back as soon as he starts casting. There's a tiny bit of scorch damage while he's casting while facing the water, but the scorch there will disappear because it overlaps the water. The other scorch is set in a constant spot, so it's nice and easy for the constructs to be tanked in. I don't think we've ever had threat issues, although my threat does drop slightly for a few seconds while I'm moving to turn him.Originally Posted by Jon

I hate when a boss is just out of range. For me the big one was always Malygos, especially doing 8-man with my group the week after doing it 6-minute. I can only hold out against their dps for so long (with bloodlust + stacked sparks) while kiting him around the room as quickly as possible putting his back to sparks (since we had no DKs at the time to pull sparks to convenient locations, we had to move the boss instead). Having 6-minute-capable dps meant their threat was through the roof, and doing it 8-man meant that I had to hold my threat lead for longer. That has got to be on my list of most frustrating tank experiences ever.Originally Posted by exochaft
