Are AFKers in battlegrounds actually punished?

If you are reported for being AFK 3 times or more within a week, you are banned from BG's altogether (on all characters) for the next week.

Why would they punish them? Both horde and alliance have AFKers so its balanced out...BGs wont go any different if all actually play.

yes, in 3.2.2 ounce the 1min debuff ticks down for being afk, u dont get a buff they just makes u not get honor or marks, u get removed,

Tbh, AFK'ers deserve some punishment. Imo, if you get Inactive debuff, that should be an instant kick and big deserter debuff.

They should add a system that once your flagged inactive you have 180seconds (3mins) to become active again (Dealing Damage or Healing) or you are removed from the match with a "dishonorable player" debuff that prevents them from entering any Battleground for 1 hour. Make the debuff persist thou death and not count down wile logged off.

This is not an issue for any player thats defending/playing because when they get the notification of inactivity, they will be able go attack something or heal someone and be able to become active vary easily.

while doing my weekly auctions with glyphs, I decided to mill all my herbs at once (~300 mills)
So I thought, hey why stand around in dalaran if I can do pvp?
So i join the bg and start milling, and everyone starts complaingin "*ME* fuckign leave man" "you are botting""everyone report *ME*"
I jsut answered: "hey I am not afk so you can't flag me for being afk", "I am defending right now", "there are no rules as to what to do in a bg, you are just not allowed to be afk"
because really, its up to everyone what to do in bgs, I mean I don't report people for fuckign upa nd not playing the bg properly, we lost anyways so there are no rules like"gotta have x honorable kills per bg"
