The only question is, what kind of weapon's will Arthas have on him. Assuming he is similar to bosses like Illidan, KT, Yogg etc. He may have the best weapons in the instance.

Because Shadowmourne is the BiS weapon for a blood DK tank by a long shot ?

a lot of agro dont give much compared to a lot of dps..
and if you are in a decent guild you should have enough agro
giving that weapon to a tank before a dps is a big slap in the face to all the 2hander dps in the guild and could make people guildquit and go find someone who will want them

Shadowmourne on a tank is simply a complete joke. As for Shadow's Edge that's a bit different, and I'm assuming that 1 guy has a lot of cash to blow(has shadowmourne/crafted icc legs and boots; that's a lot of saronite). But their tards if they get him shadowmourne xD

When will people learn. When figuring out who gets the legendary in the guild its not always cut and dry.

If you were in a guild with a plate 2H DPS class who joined the guild a week ago, and a tank who has been with the guild for many years, would you still give it to the DPS?

Personally our guilds is giving it to our Blood DK tank. You can call us stupid all you want and QQ about how much DPS we are losing, blah blah blah. However we are in the exact situation above.

• Blood DK tank is our GM and created the guild 4 years ago and has been the raid leader/GM ever since with near 100% attendance.
• Our Arms warrior ebayed his account.
• Our Retri Paladin can only make around 33-50% of our raids due to school commitments.
• Our Fury Warrior joined the guild a couple months ago.
• Our Unholy DK joined the guild 3 months ago.

Or they just wanted to pull a GM card on a DPS weapon. Or just not trusting in their own members and think those ones will bounce.. which is what I'm sure it comes down to for a lot of guilds whether they'd like to admit it or not(since it would just cause drama).

As said the things that should matter the most are DPS/attendance/commitment/etc. Any serious guild should have players with all of the above. If you have members for 3+ months and you can't trust them yet, well that's kinda sad for them I guess o-o

And it really doesn't matter how you look at it, sure shadow's edge on a tank why not, but shadowmourne? Just a waste of shards :P

SE: The main part of this weapon are the 25 Saronite, everything else is easy to come by. Considering how rare they drop in ICC probably no guild has had 25 of them drop yet, so people who already own it most likely got the Saronite on their own. Would you rather give the 2 quest items to somebody who has already gotten the 25 Saronite on his own or to somebody who will maybe get them in the next few weeks (and could easily take the quest items next ID)?
Remember: There's still a few weeks left before you can even begin collecting the shards for Shadowmourne (because you need all wings to be unlocked), so it doesn't matter the slightest who gets SE first, and the first to get it isn't necessarily the first to upgrade it to a legendary either.

It does matter who gets it first, theres the task of collecting 1000 souls before you can start the infusion quests. That means depending on someone IDs(if they have done 10 man or not.) some people might have trouble with this. But ofc, u could always farm mobs like you do rep. But there are alot of people who have chosen not to.

my guild has killed Marrowgar every week and hasn't seen Bryntroll yet /sadpanda.

dont worry cause party is over anyway. i dropped like estimated on ej about 400dps this week and on top of that they altered the way sealprocs work so you lost about 10% berserking uptime with it ...i could rage ! :/

no i dont think so. often i find myself wondering if its a little bit of a new iteration of seal of casino but instead storm of casino cause you can have proccs like mad singletarget and then another time you just dont have procs at all. but on trash or on fights like anub 25 hc i am still chaincleaving like a mad man
