They only way i know is to hold mouse buttons while casting. Wondering if there is a script like "/script SetCVar("cameraDistanceMax", 50)" to avoid it?

Set your camera to auto-change "never" in camera options.
Had mine on never for a long time, it still focus the camera in whatever way you're channeling AM.Originally Posted by Skarrd

I'm pretty sure mine doesn't, but I'm almost always pressing my right mouse button anyway so I could be wrong.Originally Posted by Rogge
i've tried a shit ton of things, best bet is to either zoom in just enough so it's not noticeable or simply hold down the right mouse button.

Checked again just to make sure and I can confirm that the "never adjust camera" option do not work on arcane missiles. Unless you're holding down left/right mouse button, it will focus your camera.Originally Posted by Skarrd
I think all channaled spells have an auto follow, my locks drain life, mind flay on my SP, arcane missiles, all follow there target and move the camera while doing so. Usefull somtimes, annoying others.
You should be holding your mouse button anyway, so here's another reason to do it!
Ah, but the important thing here isn't what we should do, but that you were wrong!!Originally Posted by Skarrd
let me clarify: you should hold down JUST your right mouse button. if you are holding both mouse buttons down, you're doing it all wrong. or all right, don't know really.

Having just done my random dungeon, I can tell you I am not. My camera does not follow my character.Originally Posted by Rogge
I believe the problem is not the camera but the channelled spell.
Your camera is not moving, your player is. Channelled spells move the player as the target moves so the target doesn't go out of line of sight due to bad positioning.
This effect does not occur when using the right mouse button as that is defaulted to moving your player position. Left is camera position.

Signature.. Am I doing this right?
AM has always rotated the camera and probably always will... I have NO HOPE that Blizzard will give us an option to turn it off
They have and it is. I had no mods on my laptop yesterday and my camera was not following me. I do not know what you guys are doing wrong, but there is a way.Originally Posted by PvE_Mage
