the points are better spent elsewhere rather than a 1-in-10 chance to reduce damage by half. More than likely it will halve a lot of white damage attacks and those big 10k hits will still hit for full. It's potential isn't entirely bad I guess, but I'd rather stick with stuff like imp devo which is a flat ~6% increase to healing and stuff like that. I guess in summation... too "chancy", it may or may not actually help you when you need it most, and for 3 talent points... i pass.
