What to do in Lust? (Enhancement Shaman)

Since FS is affected(not sure if I used the right one :P) with haste, it seems to me it's hard to pull a good 1:1 shock ratio when Lust is on. When I try to do it, there is a solid 3-4 seconds that FS isn't on the target. Are you guys just doing FS and clipping it until Lust is over or what?

Definitely no. Its only going to be worth it if you clip the very last tick. Unless you somehow managed to get enough haste to pull the FS dot down to a 6 second duration, stick with 1:1

Why would this matter? The FS has done the same amount of damage, just in some less time. Unless FS has some additional benefit for enh shamans that i am not aware of, that is. If you simply use FS because it does more total damage than ES, it would not be important.

^ is correct FS is used only because it does more damage than ES. When you start clipping you are reducing the damage gain, at some point you are going to be nerfing your dps. There is no need to keep the FS dot ticking, you simply choose whichever shock will do more total damage at the time you cast it.

the only way clipping FS will ever be viable is if you can start off the fight with a Tricks form a rogue. assuming FS gets rolling buffs like corruption does. (thus it would keep the +damage the entire fight). and as that isnt going to happen, ever, there is no reason to clip FS. keep with 1:1.
    Pondering returning.

Most people doing a 1:1 ratio without bloodlust active or hyperspeed accelerator active will be clipping at least 1 tick if they use their shocks the instant they come off cooldown. So it's not just a matter of clipping but by how many ticks and you don't want to clip more than one.

The way you can figure this out is look at how much damage each shock is doing. And look at how much damage FS ticks only are doing. Seperately that is. now add a tick until FS>ES the remaining number of ticks = how many you can clip without completely wasting FS. If you clip even one tick, you are wasting a little of it. But at the same time if you don't clip (assuming you don't have enough haste for a true 1:1 ratio) then you are wasting time keeping shocks off CD, and therefore losing damage.

If cliping even 1 tick of FS makes FS do less damage than ES, use a 1:2 ratio and move on.
