Help a new pally healer!!!

Right now, I got tired of facerolling as a pally tank, and want to try healing. So, I know Pally heals are the big bursty healers, but can you guys help me on what to build up and look for?

Yes, I searched the threads at the top but didn't get answers I was looking for.

Also, can a uber pally healer link me their talent tree?

Any little tips and tricks besides getting healbot?

Sacred Shield Up, Beacon Up on a member who takes alot of dmg, then Heal with HL or FoL if dmg on your party is very low. That's it :P

On my phone so I don't want to go about using a talent calc to write it up, sorry. But I can say be a good pally and go for secondary tree prot. The extra crit does not beat out a raid wall and imp shield. Using wings with plea is best to not nerf heals as much. Use power auras or some kind of dot timer for beacon and ss. Personaly I use a mc of mouseover macros and clique for healing and dispeling, not healbot. But that is preferance. Healbot works.

For HC's the FoL build is recommended, but in raids (especially 25-mans) FoL can't keep up to HL.

First, don't get healbot get a good grid setup+ make good mouseover macros

And for tricks (in heroics) just spam FL on yourself with beacon on tank, and yell at people for overaggroing if they die;D

I'm not uber but here's my tree, it's good for PvE. PvP healadins usually sub-spec into Prot.

There's a nice addon that tracks all my important timers (Beacon, Sacred Shield, Judgment) but I can't remember its name and I don't have WoW on this PC. But those timers should be up as much as possible.

hate to bust ur bubble but all pally specs are faceroll... sacred shield/beacon tank, FoL spam raid... it's fun for about a week...

Like any healer its important to know when the damage is comign to choose the right spell. Combine divine plea with wings and/or trinkets, Divine Illumination to reduce the impact of plea when you need mana. Contrary to popular belief Holy Paladin's are not the endless mana well if you don't know how to play them.

Don't even mess with the FoL build, gem all Int, use HL, Beacon, and Wisdom glyph. The prot tree spec is great after you've found your rythm and place in the raid. Use the ret spec while you learn and gear to give you bigger heals and more mana regen. I've been in way too many 25m ICC pugs lately that fail simply because the tank healers brought into the raid are casting FoL and failing at thier job. I personally do not respect a FoL pally at all.

Actually, the one I use shows the timers as bars, but BOLT works too. I wish I could remember the addon's name: it's a jumble of letters, starts with a c...ah whatever. Just use BOLT lol.

Another tip, on bosses you can stand in melée so so. An occasional mace swing for seal procs can be a lot of mana.
