but also mages do good but especially good skilled dks esp with adds along with feral druids and hunters. Locks arent too bad either but u can expect to be below everyone else just in general and harder to get gear as mage/lock bc so many classes want the same stuff.

In my personal Experience it seems like mages are the class I see consistantly doing top DPS. Considering what Bliz said at the start of LK that kind of makes sense.

well my dk is top AE dps, usually around 5% more than MM hunters and mages, and that is just diseases and HB spam

Many fights have passive adds and aoe in them, which fury warriors and aff locks specialize in.

Single Target (Fester/Saurfang)=Feral
Multiple Targets= Fury if they are clustered, Shadow Priest and Afflock if they are more scattered.
Gimmick damage increased fights (Blood Queen)=Mages

We don't care about DPS, we care about damage done. Rogues, warriors, DKs, SPs all do amazing damage, while usually poor mages always end up doing 20k DPS and being lowest on damage done.

And the world of logs don't record every single kill, I've personally done over 11k DPS on LK 25 along with the 2 other DKs in that raid, so yeah. Again, DPS =/= Damage done.

Sure DPS =/= Damage done.. thats why it is called differently lol. But if you may notice DPS = Damage Done / Fight Time, so DPS scales linear with Damage done, so iit doesnt matter if you talk about DPS or Damage done, it will end up with the same conclusion...

Yeah, that's why I clarify it, because 50% of the community doesn't give a rotten crap about Damage Done.

that's very misleading because it takes aoe damage into account. best dps right now is rogues followed by mages, hunters, affl locks, dk... at least that seems to be the case from my experience. though getting a lock to perform his best is more difficult than other classes in ICC it seems simply because of the mechanics of the fight. if the lock has to change targets such as for Saurfang (sp?) it's much harder for him to top the dps charts because of his reliance on dots.
