I'm in this mindset that I shouldn't worry about gear, or emblems, or anything involving wrath of the lich king really. What do you think I should be doing until I download cataclysm?
At the moment, I'm farming for mounts and getting some oddball achievements done.

Do what you are doing ... I'd go back and complete every quest you can in the old world, simply because a large number of them will be gone, so once the xpac hits, you'll never be able to get credit for them, thus lowering the total number of quests completed you can possibly have ...

cataclysm isnt coming out for months yet. the alpha isnt even off the servers. raid while you can and get gear and hope that like vanilla->BC era where top level gear isnt replaced early.

Or do what I did, and do dailies every day till the expansion. There are going to be huge goldsinks, inevitably, and if you have the gold already, it saves you headaches in the future.

^^this especially^^ because getting the title for world exploration and the tabard of the explorer are beecoming 'feat of strenght' achievements in Cata and are unobtainable, that is if you dont have them already
