can u do nice dps with disc

would be nice if i can be dps and occasianoly off heal (like i do now already shadowspecced)

Depends on what you mean by nice. Maybe 3 or 4k in ICC with 25% buff I guess. Thats not really useful though. If you want to dps sometimes go shadow.

what i mean was (i am shadow now), never did holy or disc . just wondered if it was wiable option to go but guess not!

Disc can do burst damage, but their damage over time is bad. The burst damage makes it quite decent for leveling, as mobs will die fairly quick making dmg over time a non issue.

Indeed - not, utterly and completely not. Entirely not. Even in cata with the various buffs we're getting it will still be not.

DPS specs are far more capable at offhealing than healing trees are at dpsing.

Yea disc dps is terrible. But even so, i still manage to out dps some tards in 5 man randoms while healing.
