You guys tend to see this new talent tree from "max-level" perspective, try to see it from "leveling" perspective. The real interesting about the talent tree changes is not all about the trimming and slimming down the tree, it is actually about the passive and active abilities you get while level up by putting a point into the tree. For example, before this, you never feel like you are a destruction lock because you don't get conflagrate until level 40, now you get conflagrate when u put 1 point into destruction tree. Sure, the new 31 talent tree might "looks" boring, but the talent tree today is no way better, it's not like we have varieties of raid spec though.

I'm psychic? No, but seriously.. only rogues go hybrid, like.. ever. No other class can afford it, so they shouldn't complain.
And the Muti / Prep was a broken spec from the beginning, almost everyone tought so, except rogues ofcourse.

so this game is no longer about raiding it's about leveling?

    Pretty interesting changes so far.
The only thing that I don't like is that they removed "On a Pale Horse". I don't care about the Stun Reduction, but rather the the 20% mounted speed increase, which is a blessing when you fly around the world with a 310% flying mount and making you independend of a Paladin.
In my opinion still a worthy perk for Unholy, because next to the definition of masters of death and decay, spreading infections and controlling undead minions they also execute their tasks with sheer unholy (=in the sense of "incredible") swiftness.

I really hope they put that aspect into one of the remaining talents.

I dont know why people are still posting serious replies to Notwarnus. He has said twice now that he is trolling, and even if he wasnt, he is clearly too stupid to comprehend what you are saying.

DK's don't count OP since the release. got nerfed to where they should be then re-buffed. no bueno. real classes only

It's there. But now there's no choice between [USELESS TALENT] and [WORTHLESS TALENT] anymore.

Lawl, in the end no one will care, yet even though it's the first beta build with the new talents (like, most 5 point talents have just been reduced to 3 without giving the same bonus) and people who are so scared of changes are going crazy about it. Yup. There are less talents, since the useless ones are going to be imbedded in others.

While others are crying about how this breaks the game, I see the change's potential to make the game better overall.
Of course, you need to be able to think a bit further than first glance to do so, something most here seem to be completely incapable of.

I dread how the official forums are, considering that most posters there are the type that would shout "PVP WILL DIE" if Blizzard made an trivial change, say increasing the rating req on PvP items by 5.
where is variety? pelase show me, cause i can see max 3 choices each tier
    pvp talent
    pve talent
    talent for both

which is obvious no brainer aka no choice. You want pvp ? you pick talent for both and pvp talent as there is 1... if you would ahve 2 or 3 talents potentially good for pvp besides the one good for both pvp and pve, then THATS a choice(besides ofc 2-3 pve talents on same tier aswell). Those 31 point trees are simply boring and game can actually pick specc for you cause every single pve specc will look the same just like every pvp specc will look the same...

As for "no one will care", dont speak for every1, cause i actually care. When im bored with pve, farming or w/e i like to just have fun pvping with weird ass builds just to have something different from regular play. With mastery system that forces me to get last talent, this talent play is being reduced. With reduced ammount of talent points and talents available, it gets reduced to lvl where there is no choice, no fun, you are back to regular shit...

only good thing about it is that even extremly bad/new players wont have some shit builds in raids ~~
other than that there is no diversity and in fact you could just get 6 buttons for each class. For example: unholy pvp/pve, frost pvp/pve, blood pve/pvp
You click pvp or pve button next to the type of deathknight you want and tada, you have your build... cause there is absolutely no choice in talent trees

I have no idea where you find anything fun here...

    How about thinking like this?
"The leveling experiences will change tremendously and raid talent will still remain 'Cookie-cutter' just like today."

yo i'm not totaly trying to troll i'm just looking for someone good enough to persuade a drunk ass into thinking these changes are worth while. mean while like i said i'm drunk and more than likely it won't happen. i'm not purposely trolling so much as i want a legit argument. i gave the other dude his dues for his point of view.

I really hope they will do a rework of the mage trees. Currently they are just crap imho, forcing us to skill useless talents (e.g. Slow, Dragon's Breath) for raiding while keeping us away from other interesting things...

Yeh, check any tree, they are all F-ing shizzle, worst thing since the Death Knight...

The Talent Trees still don't look like how Blizzard said they would.

  15. #395
here is one thing i will totally agree with. girly man. "the talent trees still don't look like blizzard said they would." blizzard said (not word for word mind you) would be the shit. that's what these forums are for. feedback. Like a couple people have said these are first drafts, i just would have expected more from them at a releasing point than this. but they are giving a direction...even though i don't like it >.<

They talked about they dont want everyone to take exactly the same talents but right now you dont really have a choice.
Agreed, it seems very restrictive atm, unless

a)the talents as we know it are radically different dps wise
b)the new talents hellfire/hand really shake the cake up.

    jesus christ cho'gal looks epic.

ill admit im getting 'slightly' excited by all this news now!

loving all the interface changes, the story doesnt really interest me, but the game mechanics and layout changes interest me alot

anyone that says there's no choice to builds is blind. there's still plenty of choices that i see. granted there'll still be cookie cutter builds for pve, but don't even TRY to pretend those didn't exist before. anyone that deviated from the cookie cutter builds before typically had no clue what they were doing...pvp there's plenty of choice between whether you want the dps or the utility...ROGUES: THERE ARE OTHER TALENT TREES TO ENJOY. JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T BE MUTILATE/PREP, DOESN'T MEAN PVP POTENTIAL HAS GONE TO SHIT. IF YOU WANT PREP SO BAD, SPEC SUBTLETY. GOD FORBID YOU HAVE TO PRESS MORE THAN 3 BUTTONS AND CAN'T KILL SOMEONE WITHIN A STUNLOCK. THEY'RE BUFFING SURVIVABILITY, SO DON'T FREAK OUT

  19. #399
But really, where did Power Infusion go? Says in the Priest talents info it should be in tier 3 of the discipline tree, but it isn't

    Also, Recuperate?
    It sounds...Eeeeeew!
