Best class in each arena season.

Hey guys.

I have never been intressted in arena and have always only focused on PvE. However i started to think about what classes that have been the best in the arena seasons over the years.

Whould love if you could share your opinion about what classes that were most "op" in every season

Example "Season 5: Death Knight".

Season 1: Warlocks(usually with paladins)
Season 2: Paladins
Season 3: Rogues
Season 4: Rogues(and maybe druids)

1) SL/SL Warlock
2) Holy Paladin
3) Arms Warrior (Mace Spec with Deep Thunder)

Season 2:
1) Warrior (Mace Spec with Deep Thunder/Stormherald)
2) Druid (Before people realized how retarded the pvp speed bonus was)
3) SL/SL Warlock

Season 3:
1) Druid (when people figured out how retarded the pvp speed bonus was)
2) Rogue
3) Warlock / Warrior

Season 4:
1) Rogue
2) Druid
3) Warlock / Warrior

Season 5:
1) Death Knight (Shadow Frost spec and Unholy to a lesser extent)
2) Paladin (Holy and Ret both retarded)
3) Almost every other class was out of control dumb this season, they just couldnt compare to the stupidity that was DK and Paladin this season so it didnt seem like such a big deal.

Season 6:
1) Holy/Prot Paladin
2) Arms Warrior
3) Frost Death Knight (with glyph)

Season 7:
1) Destro Warlock (before nerfs)
2) Elemental Shaman (with T9 pre nerf)
3) Prot Warrior / Prot Paladin

Season 8: (Fairly balanced I suppose, in the sense that no class was glaringly overpowered)
1) Elemental Shaman
2) Destro Lock
3) Shadow Priest

I'd agree with Goliethlol.

But bare in mind, that the focus shifted from 2 vs. 2 to 3 vs. 3 in Season 7. That explains some of the shifts.

Season 8 balance is debatable, since a lot of speccs seem very powerful and the only real issue is the bad damage vs. HP ratio. Warlocks are the most common high-rated 3 vs. 3 class at the moment and both Affliction and Destro have their place. I wouldn't say that Shadowpriests are any more powerful than any other caster, but many people seem to think that because they were crap for so long.

The interesting irony is that the overall most powerful, yet well balanced specc, throughout all arena seasons is not mentioned at all. It is in fact Discipline Priests.

I think it was s6 that prot/holy paladins were overpowered, that was terrible, they could dps with a ranged shield throw that hit for like 7kk that silenced AND they could heal good.

Very good post, personally I feel Season 8 is as balanced as all classes have been in WoTLK.
