    Druid or Hunter?

    hi,

hope you can help me to decide what i should play in Cata

got a feral(cat) and a hunter, tested both on 4.0.1 PTR.

hunter is a bit disapointing cause mm/sv is very weak and bm seems to be overpowered? (30k crits from a pet? WTF)
i think this will be fixed soon, at all i think the new focus thing isnot finished overall.
i like to play a hunter cause its fun to kite soloing elites etc.... and dps (at least in wotlk)
i stoped playing hunter ~1 year ago, started again short before patch 3.3.5

between i got "appetite" for my druid who i played in tbc as main char.
ferals cool also, i like the not easymode rotation, and do much more dps than the bluk of "noob" cats.
dont get me wrong, i dont want to flame other cats^^

feral cats are very rare, so i enjoyed to be one of best druids on my server.
i like to hybrid tank/heal as second solution. (farming second equip for healing/tanking to do heros etc...)
at all ferals are more variable than other classes.

i just love the possibilities u have when you leveling / do pvp.

NOTE: SRY for my BAD ENGLISH

hope you can understand my situation and maybe help to decide what i should choose for cata.

    br

I myself is in the same sticky situation.. except it's between hunt/sp/druid :P done some extensive testing on ptr and in my general opinion.. hunters aren't as bad as I expected, BM actually looks to be a bit harder than MM atm, this I find a plus.. though I might just end out lvling all 3 chars asap and having multiple mains..

for now all I can do is wait for cata to hit to actually checking out diff classes.. perhaps lvl them all to 85 and try them out at that appropriate lvl deciding then..

    though best of luck choosing.

    thats what i mean.

but hunter can farm/ solo much more than a druid.
and i mean when u master your "kitty and easy" dps you could be better than others.

the cata slogan is bring the player not the class...

Ermmm, play both? What stops you from having multiple characters? Just play whatever you feel like playing when you want to. But if my opinion is so important, go Hunter.

    Well, do this.
    Level both to 85.
Run some dungeons, possibly some heroics.
Whichever you enjoy playing most, raid with it.

I get your dilemma, but the internet is not you, you are you.
You decide what you think is more fun/worth your time.

yes time by time i maybe do both to lvl 85.

i want to avoid the "Doh" moment when i hit 85 and i'm annoyed/worried about that i dont lvled the other class.

i want to raid at 85 not level two chars.

    just go hunter

you'll be considered a professional by your peers, everyone will love you, and no one will compete for your loot.

I'd go Druid because they have so many different play styles to choose from in case you ever get bored with one. Plus you can choose to go healer or tank for instant LFD.

If you're in a good guild that guarantees a raid spot for whichever char you make, then go with the one you enjoy playing more. Don't base it on current damage because Blizz hasn't balanced it yet.
