It's Game Time! Clock in your hours!

I figured the VG forums could use a topic like this, so here goes:

We all know that video games can be time sinks. Whether or not this is a good thing, some games are just fucking long.

On this flip side, games can also be over in the blink of an eye, but that one blink can be a Hell of a ride.

So, what I'd like to know from you guys is this: What games took you the longest/shortest to complete?

Here's the rules: Post a game that took the longest or shortest time to complete and the time it took to complete. Also, please clarify if your completing time was a 100% or just the a solid playthrough. Speed-run times are nice, too, but specify if it was indeed a speed-run!

PS: I'd prefer you not to post sandbox games or MMO's, but if you have some insane time clocked in, then post it! Also, this is not limited to RPG's, but that's what I'll mostly be posting.

    Here's my times:
    Longest:

Story Completion: Dragon Quest 7 [105ish hours, no joke this game is fucking LONG]
100% Completion: Final Fantasy 12 [just shy of 200 hours, took forever to get some drops]

    Shortest:

Story Completion: Star Fox 64 [Maybe and hour and a half? Not sure, but that game is really short]
100% Completion: Final Fantasy 4 GBA version [ Barely 20 hours, but I realy only counted the bestiary entries]

I took part in the LSAT/Cataclysm release date thread.

Don't know about longest, but shortest can be a little game called Bulletwitch for the 360. Fun game though. Took less than an hour for all 6 levels. Now to play it on hard, chaos, and hell mode.

Lol, I played starfox64 for about a year when I was a kid, beating it countless times, and then finally figuring out that there was a whole second real way to beat it...

i thouroughly enjoyed playing oblivion (never finished story though), freelancer, mass effect 1 and 2, assassin's creed 2 and neverwinter nights 2 for the PC. i'm currently busy with getting those last few % in ass. creed 2. kill missions, treasures, races, beatups. story is out, the truth is also out.

and of course, in WoW, i have finished loremaster, the explorer and currently working on violet proto drake. yay, in one month i can start loremaster and explorer all over again (4.0.3). luckily, i'll get assistance from the new achievement system. i expect to have an extra 300 points or so (7K) before cata releases.

Back when FF7 came out for the Playstation, I played it for well over 99 hours (99 was the limit it showed on the screen). I'm guessing it was well over 250 hours by the time I did everything I felt needed to be done in that game. Other than that, I played Mass Effect 1 through 6 times and ME2 through 4 times now. I just cannot get enough Mass Effect.

My dad clocked 999 hours on Magna Carta without beating it...I think that counts.

Shortest I can remember(Besides games like Starfox) was Pokemon Collosium. Was so looking forward to it, beat it in 10 hours =(

Ive about 140 hours logged on final fantasy 12...The timer for final fantasy 7 stops recording after 99:99 so im not sure what my time is on that but im sure its at least 120 hours + those are probably the longest single files. As just generally speaking of whats the most time youve put into one game, probably ocarina of time. Shortest game ive ever beaten, as in just like story/campaign mode? Probably pokemon ruby.

Not counting Atari or NES games, which are designed to be beaten in an hour anyways, and baring Star Fox 64 which I beat within a day on the "hard" path, my shortest time for a game completion is Sonic 3 in roughly an hour and a half with all Chaos Emeralds. Would be faster if you weren't almost guaranteed to time out on Act 2 of the Casino. Most time logged on a game w/o a complete would be my last Tales of Symphonia run where I was trying to 100% it. Believe it was 70 hours. Niflheim sucks and I could never get Colette to steal All-divides for Abysson. Or a Pokemon game. Probably Silver since fighting Red takes a lot of levels
