I'd have to say the classic 'capture the flag' (WSG) is my favourite.

Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch are the most fun imo. Glad they are getting new ones of these in Catclysm

WSG. I just love zerging middle the whole match. I know this pisses people off, but I just have a blast doing it and that's what the game's for.

AV > WSG > AB > IoC > EotS > SotA
The main reason I hate EotS is because 2/3s of my team are always chasing the flag instead of going for towers, making it a very frustrating experience to try and cap/defend practically solo.
SotA is more PvV than PvP. Enough said.
AV is sheer awesome, and WSG is also one of the main reasons I'm still playing the game.

Old school AV where you would log on friday,play a few hours,then log on sunday in the very same battleground
It just felt like a real war,also sniping at the GY with a night elf hunter
Wotlk:i liked IoC's concept,the parachute-jumping into oponent's base is badass
AB works fine too,IMO the best bg for DK pvp till 3.2 as you could find lots of solo targets you could kill easily
