Its been a while since ive lvled an alt, but right after the patch hit and i spent some time on my new pally. I hit 20, and got the beginners riding along with my talent point ...is this a bug? Or is it just that you dont need to get that riding anymore?

the answer is in your class, you are a paladin, you get a mount at 20.

Paladins have always gotten a basicly free mount at 20 (40 in the way back times =P)
