Yeah, I was gonna mention that it's not the quantity needed that's going to increase, but speed and probably a new channel type to go w/ it. Considering SSD drive are super small compared to the 1-2TB drives floating around, it seems to be the trend of the future.
My setup isn't super EXTREME but it does a great job of keeping my frames high.
MOBO: ASUS P7H55-M PRO LGA 1156 Intel H55 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core i3-550 Clarkdale 3.2GHz LGA 1156
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ500MXSP 500W ATX12V V2.2
GPU: XFX HD-575X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5750 1GB 128-bit DDR5
Monitor: ASUS VH242H Black 23.6" 5ms HDMI Full 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor
HDD: 2x WD 500gb 7200 rpm (nothing special)
Case: RAIDMAX Smilodon EXTREME
I just got the psu, cpu, ram, and mobo. I had a hell of a time getting it to work, since vista decided to go awol on me. I ended up upgrading to windows 7 professional 64 bit, which is really really cool. I know my gpu is a bit sluggish compared to all the new fancy ones, but I can't justify upgrading it when 40fps in a visual intensive raid isn't unplayable. I have the CPU oc'd to 3.83ghz and it's flyyyyyyin. I had some fun figuring out the OC on the ram, since you have to OC it on my board for it to not depricate to 1333 . I still love this case I bought, since both sides fold out for super easy fixing/maintenance. My speakers are actually running on a 220w stereo, and sound *amazing* with the VIA HD audio from the new mobo. Monitor is really pretty too.
I have pictures but I can't post them until I post a few times

Dell 2405FPW monitor

Plantronics Gamecom headset (but not the expensive one)
I'm kinda over the days of being uber bothered about a totally ninja PC. Went as far as dual phase change cooling (AMD Barton core 2500+/1.8Ghz up to 2.8ghz at -20c) and realised there were better things to spend money on. The rig above is overkill for 95% of games out there anyway.

There you go you'll never get seamless displays with multiple monitors but this comes damn close.

SingleCellOrganism has the best room ever.
I've seen those (and similar) tileable wall displays up close, and the edges are all down to percentage - bigger screen, edge makes up less of the overall percentage. Anything under 40" and the edges are just too large.
I guess I'll tidy this room up a bit... and maybe take a picture. Question is, do I have to tidy my shelves first?
Except that's not multi-monitor....tiling multiple screens onto a single giant chassis doesn't count, it still just amounts to one giant screen. Most importantly, you can't "bend" those around view like you can with 3 individual monitors :P
My point was that LCD/LED technology simply doesn't allow for truly edge-less monitors, atleast a centimeter or two is needed to project the grid of pixels. A new method of display is needed >_<
