    @Djinni, TIL is a subreddit more than a commonly used random abbreviation, a simple Google search would have revealed that. Also "used as a space saver on websites such as Reddit or DIGG when writing the titles of links to interesting things...". I have no idea how people keep up with those kind of abbreviations, how do you remember "lol"?

    I don't mind actual useful abbreviations but it annoys me when people start adding stuff that makes no sense and is completely made up like adding "Z" to the end of "lol" and various other things, similar to leetspeak.

    Anyways, off-topic as you said but I figured I'd just lightly touch on the subject since it was brought up

    It's kinda a no-no as it stretches outside the forum's borders

    Also you can just edit it and add a l to the end of the URL(so it would be like hfyrhfl.jpg instead of hfyrhf.jpg) and it will make it into a thumbnail which you can then highlight and hyperlink to the full-size image.
