We've got about 5 hours to the US release of Cata, and it made me think back to what I was doing just before wotlk released. I was unemployed so I had food stocked up, was planning on rolling a DK and racing for server first (hey I had no job I was due for a challenge) 80 DK. Quests all planned out, everything ready ingame. Unfortunately 5 hours before release I was laying in a hospital bed hooked up to oxygen with 13 inches of plastic tubing sticking out of a hole in my chest. 2 days before release I suffered a spontaneous pneumothorax (basically my right lung spontaneously popped). No wifi in the hospital room either. I had to wait until the following Monday to play. So much for server first anything.
Just curious if anybody else has any amusing stories of what you were doing just before launch, or maybe what you're doing before this launch?
