Actually, there is a HUGE difference. At least from switching from Explorer to Chrome, shit was so fast.

I had the same thing happen to me. Fucking and I know what I'm doing. It pops up by itself. I was browsing the forums, middleclicking ones i wanted to read making multiple tabs, one of them in the middle was all, "This page is not trusted". It was NOT his fault.

Mozzila firefox offers a great adblocker

tis called Ab blocker plus, I suggest you download it. Its amazing. I have not once seen an add anywhere on any website because it blocks it all for you. nIf its not it gives you an option of doing so

And "No Script" -- a bit of learning to get used to (less than a day), but so worth it.

Claiming that there is no difference is like saying Windows Movie Maker and Adobe After Effects or Sony Vegas is the same.
But, ther ereally is no point in arguing which is faster. These days it's either Chrome, Firefox or Opera. It changes so often that it's impossible to keep track of which one is fastest. It all comes down to personal preference.
    Personally, I'd recommend Opera.

I will never click an add therefore I see no reason that blocking it is bad.

Just to be entirely sure I scanned our repositories on disk and verified the files are clean. We are looking into a deceptive advertisement that is not a virus, but fraudulently claims to have found one.

I would tell you what the ad looks like but I couldn't see it. As soon as I clicked on the forum link, it brought me to virus page thing.

This isn't anything to do with clicking ads or actual virus scanners.

It's the normal "Blah blah blah Spam Program has detected an error on your PC, click 'yes' for a free scan!" BUT even if you don't click anything it still redirects you to the virus-filled Spam Program's site (though it won't download without a click, usually).

Those ads have never been on MMO-Champ before, and I seriously doubt they're purposeful now: I'm sure the ad provider's filters just pooped for a bit.

Still worth letting MMO-Champ know so they can bitch at the ad providers c:
