I DIDN'T click on ANY ad and I got the same thing. I clicked on the Computer forum and it brought me to the page, X'd out the little box that popped up and it started downloading shit. Its not my fault the site has a suspicious link.

Actually, there is a HUGE difference. At least from switching from Explorer to Chrome, shit was so fast.
download mozilla firefox
go to addons
add Flashblock, Ghostery, Adblock, Web of Trust, and buy yourself a good anti-virus, and read my sig link.
no problemo
Mozzila firefox offers a great adblocker
tis called Ab blocker plus, I suggest you download it. Its amazing. I have not once seen an add anywhere on any website because it blocks it all for you. nIf its not it gives you an option of doing so

Claiming that there is no difference is like saying Windows Movie Maker and Adobe After Effects or Sony Vegas is the same.
But, ther ereally is no point in arguing which is faster. These days it's either Chrome, Firefox or Opera. It changes so often that it's impossible to keep track of which one is fastest. It all comes down to personal preference.
Personally, I'd recommend Opera.
I will never click an add therefore I see no reason that blocking it is bad.
Its not MMO :O its those seedy porn sites you been lookin at! =p

Just to be entirely sure I scanned our repositories on disk and verified the files are clean. We are looking into a deceptive advertisement that is not a virus, but fraudulently claims to have found one.
This isn't anything to do with clicking ads or actual virus scanners.
It's the normal "Blah blah blah Spam Program has detected an error on your PC, click 'yes' for a free scan!" BUT even if you don't click anything it still redirects you to the virus-filled Spam Program's site (though it won't download without a click, usually).
Those ads have never been on MMO-Champ before, and I seriously doubt they're purposeful now: I'm sure the ad provider's filters just pooped for a bit.
Still worth letting MMO-Champ know so they can bitch at the ad providers c:
