Most people don't speak different in Bavaria. Here we have more people who speak "normal" german, than for example in Sachsen, so please inform yourself because you write somethign like that

Oh come on, pleeeeaaaaaase. This is a FUN thread. Prejudices are FUN to make of. Of course I know that most germans are capable of talking hochdeutsch. So please, switch on your "fun"-switch, before entering an off-topic-thread.

Or do you really think that I think all bavarians run around with felt-hats and leatherpants?

And the sentence you quoted was the easiest explanation I could come up with to explain the ragefaces.

Being from Germany, I can easily spot people from Bavaria, even those who try to speak "normal" German. No one in Germany actually does.
So get your head out of that Krautfass and try to be funny about yourself.

I know that normal german doesn't exist, that's why i put "normal" in quotes. However the way pope said it it looked like all people in germany speak exactly the same, except in Bavaria, where everybody speaks different (that's the way I understood it)

But now let's get this thread back to it's original meaning
