    Judas Priest
    Iron Maiden

Those two right with put metal some metal chest hair on ya. Rob Halford, and Bruce Dickinson have to be the best metal vocalists of all time and you disagree when you are wrong. Legend has it that if you listen to Painkiller with two different stereos at the same time, on the opposite sides of a room facing to the center cranked up all the way you get super powers if you stand in the center of the room.

Edit: NOT ONE OF YOU MENTIONED JUDAS PRIEST! Shame on any of you who claim to love metal.

Start out by listening to the early metal bands, and just work your way up through the decades. (Make sure you pass by Disturbed, Slipknot etc, that just sucks and makes me angry even hearing the name).

Metal is better with depth, not teenage angst when the singer is 30+.
We are WARRIORS man! If we can't make it bleed, we will sure as hell dent the f%^ck out of it!

The problem with this thread is that there are so many genres of metal that to truly decide what you like you have to go out and search for yourself, as everyone's tastes vary.
I wish all "metal heads" could like the same stuff and we could take back the charts from the shitty overproduced crap that is popular music but for now all we can agree on is Justin Bieber deserves to die and illegally downloaded music is a lot easier to access.

August Burns Red (even though I found out they're Christians :S)
    Ensiferum (Battle Metal)
    Turisas (Battle Metal)
The Eyes of a Traitor - check out "With Different Eyes"
    Lamb of God
    Opeth
Parkway Drive (everything but their latest album)

Rise Against are the BEST! They're Punk Rock, but fuck you get some kind of feeling listening to them, they are like.. It's freaking undescribable! I'm a blood fan! I love them, always will, go listen to Audience of One, and all of Appeal to Reason, then slowly but surely go down the line of their albums! They're soon to be releasing a new album (Spring) which is gonna be called Endgame (not completely sure) and i can't freaking wait, it's gonna be awesome!
