League of Legends!

I play LoL quite a bit myself. I love the game and how the designers are actually very in depth with the community.

Been an avid League of Legends player since the closed beta back some August ago. Started off as a Warwick, then moved to better things, like going ridiculous builds (Attack Damage Zilean, anyone?) and just having fun with friends in arranged 5-mans.

The design of the game is a good way to get some people who have never been shown this type of game that there's an easy way to slowly progressing your knowledge and reaction times, and basic understanding of the concepts of the game. And while I did play Heroes of Newerth for a good time as well, the learning curve in that game is substantially larger than League of Legends, as well as the fact that League of Legends is free, it was able to attract a lot of attention from old players familiar with the play style and new players alike.

LoL was fun, but they update it too often. Too many heroes means that taking a break for even a month will put you behind and you just have to re-learn all the changes, new heroes, new skills, etc.

I understand what u mean but the hotfixes are THAT drasic, yes once in a while they do some balancing character wise, but its at least sooner than "Blizzard soon." Sometimes its good, and sometimes not so much, but its worth it in my opinion.

I played both HoN and LoL and the better of the 2 is DotA, by far. Serioulsy now I like LoL more it's more action packed than HoN and DotA the graphics aren't really important lol I still play DotA every time a new map comes out ... actually I am a bit annoyed by HoN's graphix :P and the heroes... lol Just renamed and remodeled DotA heroes... (this is all about HoN) now to why I like LoL more Alot more diverse heroes, heroes that use different resource pools Like Mana, energy, their own HP, A lot of unique abilities, NO Deny!!!, updates every other week or so , and the fac that it's free to play isn't hurting it :P

Yeah, no denying is one of the things I like about LoL, only one champion can deny and that is Gangplank, but that's what makes him unique, and its a decently long CD

Both games are different and better than each other in their very own ways. Follow your favorite gameplay and pick wisely. Simple logic.

Sigh, I fucking hate Tryndamere. I love it when they tower dive me when I'm playing anivia though, see them run off without their precious kill, the pricks. Blitzcrank can go blow me as well.

LoL has brought me a lot of fun, and a lot less stress than I thought it would. As for LoL v HoN, I really don't feel like dealing with denying, I don't mind last hitting and I actually quite like it, but there's enough shit to master without goddamn denying as well. Maybe if I got hardcore into the genre/thingy I'd go for HoN, but I get enough challenge and fun out of LoL. I just think the heroes are a bit more colourful and shit in LoL, and of course I cba to spend 30 bucks either. Yeah LoL has a few things wrong with it, you only have to look at Cassiopeia the newest champion to see that, but there is a lot of fun and challenge to be had regardless, as long as you steer clear of fail like that. (Take that with a pinch of salt, she could be amazing in the right hands, but I've yet to see that).

I love LoL and I'm not sure why so many HoN fanboys love to talk to much shit about it. They are two different games and people have different preferences. I personally like LoL because its cartoony and fun. I like that the game is almost a joke when I play with my friends (some, ofcourse, take it a little more seriously...). Although, as Striph said it has a TON of crap talk and I'll be honest I do a fair amount of it myself (sorry Striph) but thats one reason why I enjoy the game. Every game you get a new person that is just as strange as the last one and I think it makes it fun. It's also kinda fun to see how the other team slowly declines in skill as the crap talk goes on and it turns into a game more about revenge than winning.

Edit: Oh, btw... MUNDO GOES WHERE HE PLEASES.

I was wondering how many people in the mmo-champion community have started playing LoL or have an interest in it. I started about a month ago and strongly considering canceling my wow sub. to focus on it more.

For those who don't know its a Dota style 5v5 pvp game. Made by the creater's of Dota. If you don't know what Dota is i suggest you crawl out of whatever cave you have been living under.

Anyway, Any thoughts on it? Flames, love, people playing it competetively? etc.

If you don`t know what HoN is i strongly suggest YOU crawl out of whatever cave you been living under.
If It`s becuase your to cheap to pay the 30 bucks, you deserve to live under the curse of a bad video game filled up with minor idiots, that LoL is.

Hello, i play a MR/Def taric, i block all your attacks and spells by 80%.
did i forget to mention that my stun hits for 500 and my shatter hits for additonal 300 and both got a low cooldown.
OH! i forgot to tell... i can heal myself.
Resistance is futile when you meet me 1 on 1.
i dont die more then 2 times a combat when playing as him, nomatter how long the game is
P.s Atma's impaler is not worth getting if you only got warmongs armor, Moar health items will make it better (copy a olaf Atma's impaler build or mix it up with a normal yee build maybe to get max effect?)

Anyways, i tried HoN back in the free beta. i played LoL sinth the beta aswell (WOHO! free corki and UFO skin...) i still play lol as taric and Jax (Lux soon though)
and i must say, they are both good games, but i just dont want to pay 30 bucks for HoN when lol is very similar, and got ''better graphics'' as in i enjoy the cartoony graphics more then realistic graphics like HoN, which means....... i can play LoL on pretty much any computer.

Anyway, LoL is freaking Awesome, i like the cartoony graphics and how they keep introducing new heroes at a steady speed, and i may say alot of them are freaking epic both in gameplay, looks and lore.

Malady isnt a bad choice either, even though they nerfed it a tad.
and just a bit'o lifesteal as yee blow doors down, fast atps + decent damage + decent HP = annoying yee

I play LoL and I gotta admit it I love it. Dunno why some HoN ppl hate it, but we all got different preference I guess. I have played LoL for some month and I have never regret about starting to play it. I like the cartoonish graphic and the gameplay
I also love how Riot make videos about the upcoming champion it gives more info about how the champ should be played.
