Fraps help, 0 fps in the middle

I'm trying to run Fraps to get an idea of what my new system can do. Since the /timetest is so inaccurate.

The problem I'm seeing is that Fraps is reporting that I have 0 FPS for an extended period of time during the time it's running. The Fraps overlay counter is saying that i'm getting a decent number.

    anyone have any ideas?

i remember drops to 0fps in the recording i did a while ago on my old system but that was only one reading (like 27,0,25,26,27,25,...) and from some posts in the fps-benchmark threads i believed that was due to loading-screens. did you maybe alt-tab out of the game or switch focus to another application ? i remember doing that would break fraps video recording, but im not sure about the fps-benchmarking.

anyway, looks like you are running with vsync enabled, wich is not a good idea if you want to see what your system is capable of

good guess.... but this was just a simple flight path test and I watched the whole thing.

I was trying different configurations to see if any of the options I never use were causing some kind of conflict. I guess the one i posted might have had vsync on.

    still getting this error tho.
