    Hello!
    I wanted to know if anyone had a wishlist defined as the most optimized?

  2. #42
    Hello there, I've magically reached a point where stat prios are almost balanced. Normal raiding gear only, no heroics. Thought people could be interested on it.

    Hm, I see you acknowledged the severe undervaluing of hit/spirit here, but it really impacts your BiS list... Brackish Gloves, for example, could be considered CLEARLY better than the Twilight Council gloves. Brackish Gloves have 191 haste and 171 spirit... Twilight Council has 171 haste and 191 crit. They both have the same int of course, and the same gem slot (Brackish with a better bonus, though! ). 171 spirit/hit means 171 of some other stat you don't have to reforge from. As long as you are still reforging ANYTHING at all to hit/spirit, spirit is worth enough to knock this list outta whack.

    The normal/black colored number represents the PP value of the item not accounting for hit (this is the sort order of items on the list as well). The number in pink in parenthesis next to it is the PP value of the item if and only if you use all of the unreforged hit/spirit. This is because anything over 17% hit is wasted/doesn't help your DPS in any way.

    With that being said, it's been acknowledged by a Simucraft developer that there was a critical bug with how hit/spirit scaling factors are computed. The new scaling factors are:

    Int=1.0000
    Spi=0.3923
    SP=0.7841
    Hit=0.3930
    Crit=0.4480
    Haste=0.5844
    Mastery=0.4366
    DPS/Int=3.6383

    These values fall back in line with what we've seen before. I'll be updating my list when I get home tonight.

    Those are very close to what I am using and good to see crit > mastery (just because that lines up with my sim results/testing). I assure you, I understand how the hit-capping works. I was just pointing out it might be a good idea not to tell your loot council or whateva that some of those are BiS ^^ Nice list, regardless.

    Another thing I noticed:

    Code:
    # Heart of Ignacious
    Bastion of Twilight: Ascendant Council / Normal-10/25
    436.137525 = 297.297 + 138.840525
    297 SP? 77 * 5 = 385, and with uptime %'s and w/e, I'd average it out to be at least 350, not 297. Even after using it, it stacks back up in about 3-4 seconds due to proccing off of DoT ticks.

    Words that lots of people don't seem to know the definition of:
    "Troll", "Rehash", "Casual", "Dead", "Dying", "Exploit".

    297 is SP*{SP_PP_Mod}, or, (roughly) 385*.77 = 297

    It has an ICD tied to stacking now.

    List updated with PP values from the bug-fixed version of Simucraft, thanks to Althor over on HowToPriest.com. Hit and Spirit are back to their traditional PP values now. Cheers!

    Updated following our 25% to 15% spell damage nerf. Crit is still the 2nd best secondary stat behind haste, but, hit and spirit are both higher than Crit/Mastery now. I suspect that this is because our spells do less damage overall now than before, therefore making a miss hurt us more than they did before.

    I think some folks over at HowToPriest.com are working on one, leveraging the script/database I created to generate this Shadow BiS list. Puddingcup has a Disc *spirit only gear* BiS list here for reference, though: http://howtopriest.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=112

    Hey, I was just wondering how good the 4p t11 is overall? Do you have the values of how much 4p t11 give us?

    Last time they were computed, they came out to be (roughly) 141 PP for 2p and 70 PP for 4p. 4p isn't that great and varies a lot on fights (since a helter-skelter fight will have more SAs than a Patchwerk would). My general recommendation is to go for the 4p 359, but if you get a helm/shoulder/glove 372 upgrade go ahead and break your 4p bonus until you can get heroic T11 pieces to fill in that slot.

    Twintop, I was wondering, why is at the trinket area "Tendrils of Burrowing Dark" even before
    "Bell of Enraging Resonance"? Obviously Bell's Spellproc is higher and lasts longer. crit is more valuable still than mastery... Something must be miscalculated, can you please check??

    Sure. Here's some hand-computed values:

    Int = 1.0000
    Spirit = 0.4452
    Spell Power = 0.7845
    Hit = 0.4449
    Crit = 0.4398
    Haste = 0.4958
    Mastery = 0.4351

    Tendrils of Burrowing Dark (Heroic)
    Mastery -> Haste
    Mastery = 285*.6 = 171 mastery = 171*0.4351 PP = 74.4021 PP
    Haste = 265*.4 = 114 haste = 114*0.4958 PP = 56.5212 PP
    Proc = (1710SP * 15sec) / (60sec ICD) = 427.5 SP = 427.5*0.7845 = 335.37375 PP
    TOTAL = 74.4021 + 56.5212 + 335.37375 = 466.29705

    Bell of Enraging Resonance
    Crit -> Haste
    Crit = 321*.6 = 193 crit = 193*0.4398 PP = 84.8814 PP
    Haste = 321*.4 = 128 haste = 128*0.4958 PP = 63.4624 PP
    Proc = (1926SP * 20sec) / (100sec ICD) = 385.2 SP = 385.2*0.7845 = 302.1894 PP
    TOTAL = 84.8814 + 63.4624 + 302.1894 = 450.5332

    Internal Cooldowns (ICDs) of trinkets can sometimes be hard to calculate. I've seen everything from 80 sec to 120 sec as the "omg I'm 10000% positive!!!1!" value of the ICD on Bell of Enraging Resonance. IF the cooldown was 80 sec, then the PP value of Bell of Enraging Resonance would be 528.0418 PP, which would make it 4th on the list (with the heroic version having 594.92765 PP, making it BiS above Darkmoon Card: Volcano). This is a very, very big *IF* though.

    This spreadsheet made by faelkin is crowd-sourced and kept up to date with accurate values for caster trinket information.
    https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?...en&pli=1#gid=0

    I think that you are over-estimating the SP proc on tendrils.

    I know you have put a lot of work into this thread... but I made a website that will automatically do all of this based on any set of stat weights.

    This is a link that gives you ranked gear lists based on the stat weights in this thread - it assumes the best gems and reforge possible are chosen, and it ranks it based on your raid-buffed stats with no gear on. Click on the "..." for any item to get the list, and it shows relative EP values automatically.
    http://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/gear/p...7wj7Xh,IAL4C63

    I have been suggesting stat weights like these would be the most appropriate, but more people need to verify still:
